Has the year 2010 been a letdown for boxing fans? Very much a let down. The biggest stories of the year have occured outside the ring not in them. The 3 big ppv fights have all sucked. The 2 best heavyweight champs were basically told to go fly a kite by HBO. But that isn't the worst thing about it. The best matches at each weight that could be made didn't happen or likely will not happen.

Definatley been a massive letdown the first half of 2010. Floyd v Mosley has been the best fight of the year in terms of an EVENT and in that fight Floyd was just too good. I loved it been a Floyd fan, but as a spectacle it killed the fight because it was massively one-sided. Anyway, at the beginning of 2010 we had the possibility of Floyd v Pacquiao, Cotto v Margarito 2, Klits v Haye, Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Maidana- and of those four squaring off. None of these fights have happened or have even come close to been made. The problem is the size of peoples egos, people are too interested in the big payday rather than enhancing their reputation. Doesn't help when you have promoters like Bob Arum interested in nothing but taking 25% of his fighters money.

A huge letdown. -Chad Dawson has been inactive. -Eddie Chambers lost. -Even though Andre Dirrell and Arthur Abraham fought the fight was delayed. -Andre Ward's fight was delayed thus delaying the eventual showdown between Dirrell and Ward. Too much inactivity in boxing, that's what's killing the sport.

No its been a big let down for fanboys of Pac and Floyd who dont watch other fighters. Thats harsh man, im not a huge fan of either guy but is a natural match that is HUGE for Boxing and is Begging to be made

Yeah piss poor year so far to be fair. Im a huge Cotto fan so it was nice to see him still performing and get a title in a new division. Other than that i was Really excited for Mosley vs Mayweather but that was a letdown, Mosley was past his best and Floyd was on another level. Marquez vs Diaz 2 was good but not as good as the first (how could it be!) and in my eyes served no real purpose. Floyd and Manny needed to happen already, same with Haye and the Klitchko boys, its just been disapointing. Id like to see the top guys step up and fight more often, a couple of fights a year dont cut it

Might be...I can't recall any big fights this year...Pac-Clottey was forgettable...Floyd showed how old Mosley is...Martinez spanked Pavlik...no big competitive fights I can think of...at least not right now... Chad Dawson been inactive...seems like its been a while since Paul Williams has fought(teaser against Cintron)...he probably won't fight til next year... Fighters need to fight more often...simple as that

Horrible year fighters are again becoming complacent,honestly fights like Alexander Kotelnik i will not even tune in,Johnson-Cloud should be headlining. no great fights have happened. and all the big fights we been promised havent been made Floyd-Manny Haye-Klistschkos anyone in the 140 division.......................... For me it has. Too many old guys hanging on too long. Too many young fighters brawling on Twitter.

Has the year 2010 been a letdown for boxing fans? The Manny vs Floyd is a big letdown for me, i can't believe they wont fight this year, besides that, it's a good year for Montreal boxers, like Bute, Lemieux, Pascal, so overall for me it's a great boxing year...
