I was reading through that racist thread I found this post quit interesting:

Do you think people would have a different opinion of Paul Williams if he was a Hispanic fighter?
And? Margarito has been exposed numerous times. The man cannot beat any top fighters period. The Cotto win has a question mark over it. Losing to Mosley and Williams showed he is not elite or good. Just another overhyped Mexican
a lot of welterweights have lost to mosley and williams. no biggie.
margarito is a very good fighter and a tough fight for a lot of people at 147 in his prime.
six heads , cotto , kermit the frog , clottey are very good wins.
you don't beat guys like that without being good.
you can't be a top ranked welterweight for 6-7 years and all of a sudden lose to a mosley or williams caliber opponent and be considered "exposed".
that's just ignorant.
DLH has a better resume than Morales. Hands fucking down.
And Morales didn't tower the dudes at 122 & 126??
morales has a better resume than delahoya if you're only counting wins.
names on the resume , oscar's opponents were more well known but as we all know he didn't win all of them.
prime morales only has 1 loss. to another atg hofer in barrera.
past it moreales beating an up and coming pacquiao is greater than anything delahoya has ever done.
delahoya is a great fighter and totally underrated by nitwits in this forum but he is not greater than morales.
better name? more high profile? more high profile fights? sure.
but in terms of wins and accomplishments morales is better.
Look at how they treated Margarito. They thought he was a boxing legend. When he was nothing more than a fraud
that fraud was top ranked at 147 for almost a decade.
Winky's was 19 months... one month more than a year and a half.
Mosley's was 16 months... two months short of a year and a half.
We have smart one here people!
Was Quartey 100 years old like Winky???? Fukk outta here.
Most people argue Quartey got robbed too.
The first part of your post is predictable and weak. Exactly. And regardless of how old Quartey or Winky was Winky wiped his ass with him when they were both the same age. That's the point I'm trying to make.
Year and half is not such a big layoff,Mosley had year and half lay off before Mayweather fight!

Why do you give credit to De La Hoya for beating Quartey and don't give Williams any credit for beating Winky? That's double standards to me. Didn't Quartey suffer a layoff before he fought Oscar?

Wow... I learned something new today.
I didn't know Quartey was coming off such a long layoff.
I had heard that he had a long layoff before the Vargas fight, but... the De La Hoya one was two months longer. Crazy.

Quarteys layoff was smaller then Winky s!
And no one is giving Hoya a credit for beating Quartey cuz Quartey won that fight!

Didn't catch that with the switching back and forth between threads. Sorry but thanks.

No problem... it looks enough like Chavez (and it was right after Chavez in the list) that you brain might have just skipped over it.
Lol, we'll go with that, and give you a free pass.
"prime" Oscare barely beat a past prime Whitaker and ran like a bitch against Tito. Then he fought Vargas after he was ruined by Tito and got fukking fat in between fights. Oh wait he also beat Journeyman Gatti
Don't forget the Quartey fight... which can be seen as his second best win, or the worst decision win of his career (Sturm might actually edge that category, but the Quartey decision was pretty bad).
Good thing I at least know my shit son. And so do you. Lol.
I had to rack my brain, and then check my thought process when that issue came up, but I was right! I'm proud of myself.
I know nothing about Sanchez, other than that he beat Gomez, giving him his best featherweight ever claim (or rumor is more like it, since he wasn't alive long enough to fulfill the career that is necessary to fill that spot), and he gave a very young Azumah Nelson his first loss.
Salvador Sanchez was a great and could of been Mexico's greatest boxer. He passed away early though.
Also, where was Sanchez's name mentioned in the posts I replied to??
Salvidor "Chava" Sanchez.
Of course, lots of fans are so into who's the one that is winning mentality.
Ummm let's see......Hernandez, Molina, Ruelas, Maro mero Paez, Chavez, Gonzalez, Whitaker, Quartey, Camacho, Gatti, Vargas, Mayorga. Basically every DLH fight was a big one.
So the guys you mentioned didn't win any vacant titles?
Exactly!! Look at Pac, how many people have won just as many titles as him??
Like who??
I'm sorry but DLh never lost to the Junior Jones, Khans of the world. :bottle:
He did. But he got robbed with Tito and Mosley. Beat a past prime Chavez and Whitaker?? Weren't they in the P4P ratings?? So if Pac fights like shit vs Margarito and loses the next fight, should the winner get credit??
Because it's mostly people not liking Oscar. Duh!
I'm sorry but none of those guys are better than DLH. Maybe a prime Chavez but that's about it. And I love Finito, one of my all time favs as well.
You rank De La Hoya over Salvador fuckin Sanchez? You need to log off this site and kill yourself Chicano. :ugh:
Since when did boxing divisions have height classes?
De La Hoya having a better resume than Morales? LOL
He brought that up because I mentioned of how De La Hoya started out at 130 beating up guys like a tiny ass Jorge Paez. And his counter argument is fair on that I guess. But Morales didn't have weight advantages over Junior Jones or Barrera and he beat them. De La Hoya had weight advantages over Mosley, Mayweather, Chavez, Whitaker, and Mayweather. And he only managed to beat one of those guys decisively. Lol.
