weight trained maybe over training?
he didn't look to gaunt from what i saw what do you guys think why did he way under the limit or am i reading too much into this
i apologize if this has been discussed already i looked for a thread about this but couldn't find one
it means JMM is a career Featherweight.
Pretty much this. I think he's a natural Jr. Lightweight and a small for 135, but he's on such a high skill level that he can compete at a weight division a little higher from where he's best at.
It suggest that if he beats Diaz, that he should not be fight Khan but giving Katsidis his shot.
was gunna post this myself. if his comfortably inside the 135lb limit then he shouldnt go up kahn doesnt deserve to take advantage beat a legend
It means Floyd gets no credit for beating JMM at WW and JMM doesn't belong at anything over 135 because he's already a small fighter at 135.
Khan better move down in weight to fight JMM because it would be a bitch move to make JMM move up to 140.
Cutting weight is never good news, I have my fingers crossed that the brief foray into welterweight hasn't left him physically shot. The thing is, we may not even know tonight whether he's really what he was pre-Floyd as Juan Diaz may not exactly prove to be the sternest test out there.
It means his body couldn't really hydrate back to 135. Just like Oscar in his last fight. I hope I'm wrong but it's most likely that than other things.
nah, that just shows how serious he is about every fight, i mean its been a while since the floyd fight, so hopefully he drained from 147 in a healthy way in which im sure he did, plus its not the first time he has weighed 133, i look at it like when bhop came in at 157 for the trinidad fight, some insiders thought he was too weak, it ended up he was too strong and that extra 3lbs under the limit helped him, so bak to marquez weighing 133, he should be ready to go for a 12 round decision
Pretty much. I think this suggests the move up to fight Floyd has made Marquez a more comfortable lightweight than he was against Casamoyer and Diaz, where he looked to be pushing his limits. Lightweight is still his limit, but he is probably better there now, which is bad, bad news for Diaz.
Yeah, he looked thicker and leaner at the weigh-in, doesn't bode well for Diaz (even though he looked a little leaner at the weigh in too). It definitely says he doesn't belong at 140 though, especially against one of the biggest Jr. Welters out.
What does Marquez weighing in at 133 suggest
It suggests that Marquez may be on steroids because he did not take Floyd`s personal blood test requirement before they fought, all boxers who doesn`t are on steroids according to the Mayweathers.
Nah, it suggests what I and a few others have been saying... JMM is a small lightweight.
He knocked out Casamayor and Diaz despite his size/frame. Watch the first Diaz fight, look at how Diaz just pushes JMM around and puts his back against the ropes and into corners. Diaz isn't weak, but if JMM were a real lightweight he wouldn't get pushed around like that.
That and the man is a gym rat on the level of a B-Hop.
