According to a Fox Sports article, when asked by Dana White when he was gonna fight Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather answered “Well, I’m not desperate,” what did Floyd mean when he said that?
"well I'm not desperate" ....
Desperate is the Key word.. He got caught opening his mouth and spilled the beans
By Brendan Preto,
Theses are good points " Well, from my interpretation, Mayweather meant “Why would I risk fighting a ferocious fighter like Manny Pacquiao and lose my undefeated record, I don’t need money that bad?” Mayweather was implying that only people who are desperate and hurting for money will take on such a risky and dangerous task for millions of dollars.
It’s like if someone asks you, would you jump in shark tank for $ 5,000? A desperate person would do it but a cautious logical person would realize the risk isn’t worth the reward. For Mayweather the risk of fighting Manny Pacquiao isn’t worth the reward of over $60 million in prize money win or lose.
So I guess it's official Floyd ain't taking risks plunging into the sharks.
If you flomos want to dispute this..
Please add the reason why he had to say he ain't desperate.
Please explain your reasons here =)
Xylocaine is legal in Nevada (i can't post links yet to the article but you can look it up if you google it) but not in many other states like Texas, which is why Floyd refused to even acknowledge cowboys stadium as a possible venue during the first negotiations.
Also, since I can't post links yet, someone go on youtube, search and post the video for the floyd mayweather vs. carlos hernandez clip pt. 6 uploaded by "youngmaymoney." fast forward to 9:40.
He admits to shooting novocaine in his hands before the fight. Novocaine is legal in the states, but clearly he uses it to mask the pain which enables him to fight.
These flomos say xylocain is not illegal in nevada so it's ok. And goes to say, Pac should take blood test even if nevada doesn't require it.
These flomos support nevada when it's pro mayweather cause, and turn against it when it's for Pac lol.. These guys are definitely in the list of worlds dumbest people on earth hehe!
not desperate meaning he has other options meaning he is not a Margarito
Then why is he not pursuing those options? Oh, thats right, he is going to take a lesser challenge for less money.
another flomo in denial.. It already came out of the horses tongue he wants a vacation and he still think it ain't true.. Geez..
Last time I checked when he said that he wanted a vacation he did have a 2 year off, but I truly hope he wakes up and smell that his legacy is in jeopardy..
But sadly I don't think it will happen, he ain't desperate to be fed by the sharks (a.k.a pac) and he even told a dying kid he wants a vacation.. So don't speculate that it was the negotiations.. He just doesn't want to fight man accept it. Even his gay friend and confidant Ellerbe says his on vacation.
So just tell your boy Floyd to man-up! Rally with the flomos and convince him to fight so we all can have are Ali-Frazier moment..=)
From another "Flomo" to another flomo you need to read my post before you start.
First, he said He isn't interested in Boxing!
Now, he said he is not desperate!
Why can't he be CONSISTENT with his answer?
The Old Mayweather says it was the 50/50 problem in sharing of the purse.
Then lately, he said his son has a problem with IRS thats why his son didn't fight Pacman!
If you are not desperate in earning millions of Dollars, then where are you going to get the money to pay your back taxes?
The Uncle Trainer has Court problem,
The Father isn't trusted by Son to be his trainer;
IRS is running after his back taxes;
Most sportswriters and boxing fans were disappointed;
So where's prettyBOY going?
He's going crazy on how to answer future questions!
It could mean anything, Could mean he is on vacation! Could mean my terms are not been met and am not in a desperate mood to give in to whats been counter-offered.

Of course they are not desperate cuz they know like all world knows that Pacquiao is gonna destroy Floyd Joy!
Yup, epic fail for not happening though lol
the whole world is "desperate" to see this fight, The only ones not "desperate" are floyd and the flomos.
I know the flomos want to see this fight but they are such nuthuggers that they are forced to agree with basically everything floyd says or does.

Even if that's true, you have nothing to worry about. The piece said "in some states it's legal", it's not legal in Nevada where Floyd has fought nearly all of his fights. Michigan? Yeah, probably. States with a smaller athletic comission might not deem it illegal. That's on them.
But Nevada? Your getting tested.
And what else???
You still don't get the fact that I could have a fight in Nevada in two months and take vicodin right now for a pain that's bothering me. It doesn't help during the fight so if I want to take it. I can. Get it?
You defend Floyd to death.. Thought your not a flomo hugger?
As you say it's in nevada it's fine to take numbing agents it ain't banned there. Coz its in nevada.
What about Nsac is in nevada. It didn't say they need to take a blood test for fights there..
So is nevada policies important or not? You can't have it both ways homey =P
you keep repeating your shit.........here,

Here you again.. can't you get it? Floyd wants a vacation.. wtf are you talking about? Ellerbe and Floyd never mentioned Floyd is fighting this year or next year or maybe never...
he never said anything like that..
I say defend his vacation stand homey.. That's more realistic hehe!
:banghead::
this I agree with 100% seems to me he gave more effort in the 1st round of negotiations then he did this time around but I agree if he has a problem with the set date of Nov 13 then he or one of his advisors should just say it if Arum made no offer then Floyd camp should just make a public offer
I think its just him not wanting to be the one chasing the fight but still

my argument is simple......if it is ilegal, no one should be allowed to use it, period!..........unless, it is to cure a sickness and not to improve natural abilities!.....simple enough?
Holy shit! L-i-s-t-e-n!
A pain-numbing drug IS illegal to use for a fight! They test for that! Floyd DOES NOT use pain-numbing drugs during a fight. That's proven.
My argument is, even if he did take something a long period of time before a fight it provides NO EFFECT on the fight itself because it will have worn off long before the fight and once again, provide NO EFFECT even if he did take something for pain.
I'm being redundant so you can understand. :)
