...If it happens...I think they bring together just the right ingredients to make a good, active, competitive fight. Something we rarely see in recent heavyweight history. Skilled, willfull participants who actually look fit- in the heavyweight division- and for a world title. Adamek at this point would have a significant hand speed and foot speed advantage. Plenty of experience and proving he's top notch, unlike some of these other guys who have challenged Vitali, and a damned reliable chin. Neither man has shown at heavyweight lately that they have one-punch kayo power by any means, so I don't think we can expect Vitali to have the kind of kayo ability Wlad would seem to me to have that would make him an overwhelming favorite. Vitali doesn't swing for the fences even if he has it. If TA does as well as I expect him to with Grant, don't you think this could be one of the most interesting and noteworthy match-ups the division could have at this point or has had in some time?

Boxing needs more fighters like Adamek, has gone from 175 to heavyweight in just a few years and been winning the whole way with the exception of losing to Dawson. He did take some flush punches from Arreola and took them well. He might as well fight a Klit.
If most champs and contenders had the competitive nature of the Adameks and Darchinyans, we'd all be a lot happier. :boxing:

I truly hope it is a good fight. I just wish Adamek was facing someone like Demetrinko(sp) instead because while Grant will be a good gloried sparring match, Dementrinko is just as tall as Grant but alot better fighter at this point in both of their careers. I say this because how Adamek handles Vitali height and reach will be a huge deciding factor of how good or bad he looks in this fight. He needs to best simulation of that and I'm not sold on Grant being a good gauge. Just my opinion though.........
I agree with this. I didn't even know Grant was still fighting when I heard the fight announced. But at least he's been winning. Dimitrenko would've been far better, yeah, even Tony Thompson, who I respect and thinks age aside, is pretty damn solid.
Edit: But I guess Thompson is out of commission. I'm just trying to think of other tall men who might fit the bill better.
Adamek and Haye are the future of the division. Adamek is a smart guy in great condition and he has balls like I said before. He can work an in and out strategy against Vitali and beat him on points. Vitali has good upper body movement, but if Adamek could get him to commit to reaching down and pursuing him he could counter effectively. I'm just ready for these giant heavyweights to dissappear already. I hate Giants. Fukk a weight limit, we need a height division 6'6 and up get the fukk out of heavyweight lol
It'd be a very tall order (no pun intended) for Adamek, but I think it would be an exciting fight. Sosnowski didn't fight scared against Vitali and he had moments in their fight, despite his. Adamek could, I think, make it a competitive fight.

I don't know. Adamek's style isn't exactly one that I expect to give him a good chance to beat Vitali. Maybe if he could somehow bait Vitali into chasing after him or something and giving up that reach advantage.
