Excellent post. Hopefully Manny Steward noticed this as well. One of Steward's big things is getting guys to clinch Hearns, Lennox, Wlad~ in that regard Manny is a good guy to have in his corner.

Holding has been part of the sport since before we were all born. It was the difference between Mosley vs Margarito/Williams vs Margarito and Cotto vs Margarito. Williams and Mosley both held to disrupt Margarito's rhythm and to not let him get off. Cotto was too much of a macho man and said he didn't held because he's a warrior. A good fighter always knows when to hold, a fight with to much holding are probably the worst (atleast if there are no meaningful punches landing) but if a fighter doesn't hold at the right points he will get hit way more. Also it is an art to do it an not be blatant at it.
