As the title says, is it?
He says he won't fight this year and Pac doesn't want to fight much longer, so that fight may be out the window. Don't count on May '11, like in March when we shouldnt have counted on November '10. Hes going to say he'll need a tuneup and then after that he won't fight. Many of his diehard fans look like idiots and hypocrites since Floyd did not help them at all by not fighting Pac. I'm not sure how much longer they'll continue to support someone that doesn't fight and dissapoints them.
The funny thing is that if he had one or two losses to go with some legendary duals like a trilogy with pacq or something or a couple other TOP 5 guys than he wouldve went down as one of the greatest in recent time, but he is TOO SCARED. Nobody cares if you have a loss or two as long as you are giving a good fight. When I watch fights I dont watch to see someone protect their 0 as they dont fight top competition. Start fighting some top 5 ranked guys floyd, it doesnt matter if you win or lose, as long as you try.
It should have been better for floyd if he don't come out of retirement after his fight with hatton.
Thanks man. Your avatar reminded me how I wanted to watch "Ringu".
Floyd is killing himself man, leaves his promo team, disses Pac in a racial fashion in a public forum, gets involved with some woman beating drama.....he seems to be spiraling downward fast
when did it start?
superstars have shoe & apparel deals. Floyd has none.

Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, Manny Pacquiao, Lebron James = shoe & apparel deals with big companies = Superstars.
Floyd = no deal = racist xenophobic woman beater = not a superstar.
& yet he still makes more guap than your hero :boxing:

lol. Well for boxing then. Hes arguably the biggest draw or at least the 2nd biggest behind Pac. Funny post though.
this definitely hurts his superstar status.
And historians will ultimately end up comparing Floyd to Manny Pacquiao...who's image is for the most part clean.
Damn man. I make fun of the dude, but it's sad to see things go down this way. Floyd could've EASILY been an ATG....he only needed like 3 or 4 fights with this era's top WW's (Cotto, Margo, Pacquiao....ALL fights I'd bet on him to win).
Imagine....Genaro Hernandez, Castillo, Diego Corrales, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao.
Dude could've easily made FOTD, and top 5 ATG.
Bump for recent events.
Keep in mind though, the alleged domestic violence against a woman is just alleged. Not proven yet but it is highly suspect and does not him help at all regardless. And once again hes nowhere to be found...

Very likely...there are no other "superstar" boxers worthy of fighting and he does not want to fight the guy that will make him the most cash.....dude should just quit now...
Yeah the whole situation is a shame for everyone. Pac and May would've been in the biggest fight in history, the fans would've been given an enormous event, and the sport would've been the talk of everyone, everwhere. If it ever does happen, interest will be lost and they likely wont be at their peak.
Floyd might be the best boxer ever yet he chooses not to fight Pac, floyd is only hurting himself though because those great reflexes of his can be gone in a blink of an eye and he'll regret not fighting Pac while he was still in his prime.
At the end of the day, if he calls Pacquiao out after his fight with Cotto or Margarito and their are no hiccups, people's won't give a shit.
As things stand he is getting a lot of negative rep, so if he fights sometime near November and the opponent isn't Pacquiao it is not going to look pretty for him. If he starts arranging a fight before November and the person isn't Pacquiao it's not going to look pretty for him either.
As things stand, I'd say the onus is now on Floyd to make the challenge to Pacquiao.

All I know im offficially done with floyd!!!!!!!!Great fighter no heart!
All i know is floyd will be forever remembered as a ducker. I kinda actually feel sorry for his legacy because he is one of the best boxers technically ever. But he just dug his own grave.
I agree.
Also, Father Time hits fighters that depend on their reflexes pretty hard.
Ask Roy Jones Jr.
I guess so. I think Mayweather may fight only one more time and defiantly no more than two fights. Pacquiao will take a fight this year and maybe 1/2 next year then retire.
