Hmm.....looks like "someone" is taking notice of Mr. Flash....
I mean...RING MAG....really? Over Paul Williams, Marquez AND Bradley??? (Yet BOXREC doesn't even have him cracking the top 20)
I have the utmost confidence that Nonito will no doubt take the torch from Pacquiao once Manny retires...but really????
The man is 24-1 (16KO) and the best name I know of from his resume is Chinny....and even at that...Vic isn't considered an elite fighter (my opinion anyway)...so is there something that RING sees that alot of other fans don't?
Not knockin Nonito...but wow...that's some great potential there and either he just can't get fights....or he's being very mis-managed.
What ya'll think?
shit, im one of them guys who think nonito is overrated...but i do agree he should be rated higher than jmm, since jmm just lost and has'nt doneshit since that....bradley beating abrgu aint all that as nonito did'nt prove shit fighting lil tyson but atleast, nonito stopped his opponenet!
No, he ain't overrated. He cried long for quality opponents, he just got ducked every time. He's that good! Excellent at both southpaw and orthodox stance. No one's messing with this kid!
that is way too high and I like Nonito but COME ON RING!
JMM don't belong at #3 either IMO, Mosley and JMM lost their last fights, why are they still #3 and #5? both are higher then Dawson, Martinez and Williams

nonito couldn't land fights and his management is HORRIBLE. he should be promoted and fighting under PAC cards. arum is an idiot with his dealings with nonito. but it's more than likely due to the fact manny couldn't get him under his MP promotions.
donaire could easily start going through a breakthrough super stardom career after he takes down montiel then jumps to 122 and hopefully juanma is still there at 126!
Nonito definitely have a LARGE UPSIDE or POTENTIAL considering his skills, techniques, intelligence, agility are being exhibited. On the other hand, his questionable opponents thus far equalizes his savviness and wins.
This kid will go far and would ultimately be the no.1 in the near future.
But he isn't no.4 (just yet).
I don't see it either TS, he is good but is spending most of his career fighting tuneups.
He deserves the #4 spot skill wise IMO and it's not his fault if every one is afraid to face him, the dude's real sick. Who else goes 'experimental' on his fights? Adroit enough to win via orthodox or southpaw. Dude's a killer...
So who's to blame for the Vic re-match not happening? And even then.....I see him crushing Chinny AGAIN.....what would that prove? Definately want to see Nonito in there against Montiel, Hase...and MAYBE if he gets enough meat on his bones in the next 2-3 years....and if he's still in the same division....either JuanMa or Celestino.....
IF he somehow manages to get past all those fighters....I see another potential p4p matchup coming in the future....Donaire vs Gamboa.....maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself here....but one can dream.
he probably doesn't deserve to be ranked so high (#4) but let's not forget Vic was a top 10 pound 4 pound fighter when Donaire beat him, and that's when Donaire made it to the top ten. He's risen up to #4 more by default (other guys losing) then anything else.
I also think Donaire has tried to get big fights but has had a hard time landing anything. Hopefully that all changes real soon.Vic was never a top 10 P4P fighter when Donaire beat him and Donaire did'nt make it on P4P list for a while after the win. Vic reached some top 10 rankings after the Mijares and Arce roll. Even after Donaire got the Vic win P4P lists pretty much had a combo of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, Hopkins, Wright, Taylor, Vazquez, Rafa M, Calzaghe, Cotto, Hatton.
Nonito is No. 4 based on skill, they haven't based it on who he's faced. Right now he shouldn't be on there.
However, if he beats Montiel then he deserves to be on there (around 8-10 or something) but to get to No. 4 i would have expected to see a rematch with Darchinyan, Hasegawa and Perez on his resume at least.
hopkins lost to taylor. TWICE. deal with it.
He lost to Taylor as much as Marquez lost to pacquiao. The fights are heavily disputed, and most think Hopkins beat taylor.
He beat him twice. He went from being ranked number 4 to being off the list all the while winning three fights in a row?

hopkins beat jermain 2 times???funny so how did jermain end up with his belts???lets not rewrite history
Its 2010 that was 2005. Also when was the last time you saw a fighter win and get dropped not one or two spots, but 6 spots?
