I remember when Mosley lost his fights against Forrest in 2002 Everyboby said Mosley was getting slower and had lost his power... So that old man almost KO the untested ATG Mayweather, what will a much younger and faster Pacquio will do to him. Mayweather has a chance to prove himself, lets hope he does.:boxing:
marquez rocked and had manny hurt plenty of times? and power is the last thing to leave a fighter. and mosley only 5 years older than floyd. next
Numbers in regards to age in this sport are very simplistic indicators at best.. you need to dig deeper and look at the circumstances. Floyd although in his 30's is in terrific condition. He was managed well, avoided damage, kept himself in supreme condition between fights thus eliminating the wear and tear on the body as a result of playing catchup which can be huge... he isn't a weathered 33 year old. He's got a few years left up his sleeve. Shane on the other hand is undeniably past his physical prime without the depth in skill to fall back on... he has been through the wars and in the game far too long. He has looked slow on the trigger for far too long. Anyone who has watched a fair amount of Shane as a quicksilver fast young fighter can see the slow incremental decline over the years. In regards to Pacquaio... i hope he gets some good fights quick because with the intensity of his output and style he will hit the wall and decline sooner than later.. such fighters always do.
maybe if manny cheated and out wayed the piss drinker maybe he would be able to eat those punches too
yeah, he shouldve came in at 135-140 and he wouldve ko'd JMM.
Right anyone who thinks floyd wasnt seriously hurt is retarded. Floyds legs went soft on him, he was unsteady, he showed all the signs of a fighter that had been seriously rattled. What he also showed was great recovery and composure. He didnt prove he had some elite level durability and recuperative powers that made him KO-proof... Mosely didn't press enough.... he simply showed a solid chin and composure when hurt... a couple of boxes you need to tick off when discussing a great fighter.
People need to be objective, take a step back, put their little ****ed up obsessions and fanboy attitudes aside and view things objectively. Both Manny and Floyd are great fighters and both matchup competitively... stop trying to write off you're preferred fighter as a fraud. Instead just intellectually debate how they matchup stylistically. This applies to the ultra enthusiastic pac fans as much as it does the mayweather ones.
if mosely couldnt knock floyd out with a perfect punch, pac sure as hell cant.
floyd didnt even go to the ground
Flyod got lucky for grabbing Mosleys arm like a leech sucking blood. If he did not grab Mosleys arms its goodnight and you all knows this. Even Flyod knows this thats why he did not let go like his life depends on it. LOL
Ya'll crazy, but if this is the case then it also must be stated that the punch Floyd ate from JMM was harder and cleaner than the one that rag legged Pac when he made a mistake in there fight and no one is gonna convince me that JMM has more pop than Shane.

Your 27 right ? when you will go from 33 to 38 you will understand that 5 years almost 6 in fact makes a big difference, for a boxer its even worse especially if you fought as many wars as Mosley did, the man is tired.

yep, floyd was so hurt that he finished out the round being aggressive, walking mosley down and backing mosley up.
yep, he was really hurt. <_<
and you box, good for you. what does that have to do with this convo? im curious
When you have fought in a ring, you know how a boxer can be hurt and when hes hurt because its the main objective of the sport. That is why i can say that Mayweather was hurt. When i see some boxer in front of me that i have just hit sitting cause his legs are like Jello even for 1 sec, i know that hes hurt and after the fight he will tell me that he was hurt. All you have to do, is go in a boxing gym and try it for yourself if you dont believe me. I didnt say that Mayweather lost the fight, he got hurt but the old Mosley did not finish the job. So, maybe, if there is a fight and Floyd gets hurt in the same way, Pacquiao might be able to finish the job cause hes in his prime and the best fighter Mayweather ever fought.
younger PRIME molsey dodged, duckeds and ran from floyd two times when floyd called him out. thats a FACT. you cant dispute that and you cant rewrite history
you sound stupid fella
Who wants to rewrite history ? The point is Floyd was hurt by the old Mosley, maybe it doesnt mean anything, maybe it does. IMO when you want to be an ATG you must fight boxers who are the best of your division IN THEIR PRIME.
By the way i started boxing in the 80s, what about you ? your an expert, right ?:Flush:
10 round to knock out that bum hatton LMAO. flomos let me ask you a question how meny rounds did manilla ice need to put hatton on deep freeze
Ricky was sparked and lit before Manny got to him. Not only that, but Ricky decided that going into battle sans defense was going to be more effective than what Floyd Sr. was trying to teach him.
How exactly did Mosley almost KO Mayweather? Did he knock Mayweather down? Did the ref reach a count of nine before Mayweather got up? Did Mayweather get saved by the bell? Mosley landed one good punch the entire 12 round fight and you claim that he almost KO'd him? This is the same Mosley that Pac's trainer refused to fight because he said Mosye was "too good". Whoever it was on this board that claimed that there was no cure for Mental Pactardation was correct.
Mental Pactardation ? I will repeat myself for you... I am Not a Pacquiao fan or a Mayweather fan im a boxing fan. Where did you learn to boxe ? Who was your trainer ? Cause in the ring, when your knees bent and you sit you are hurt, its your brain that goes in defense and wants to turn off. Mayweather in not a bad boxer because he was hurt, he is as we all know still one of the best. My point is by the time he was sitting a younger Mosley would have give 1 or 2 more hit. So, if you add those hits to a hurt Floyd, its over. Sometimes you win 11 rounds and then comes that combination that put you down when theres only 15 sec left. Thats what makes boxing a great sport !:boxing:

pac vs may wont be a war but another boxing lesson given by floyd
If Mayweather wins the fight against Pacquiao, he will be consider an ATG but right now, hes just one of the best of his division nothing more nothing less. Also, i seriously doubt that he can give a boxing lesson to Pacquiao.
is that why manny avoided shane?
no shitforbrains for the millionth goddamned time manny was already deep in negotiations to fight cotto only a few details involving the weight were left to be worked out and shane inserted himself into the discussion by say "if manny and cotto cant agree i will fight manny at 140", but manny and cotto did work it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah except he barely stunned Mayweather. I mean I don't particularly like Mayweather, but I ain't blind. He wasn't hurt from that punch.
Barely stunned hell! Give Floyd credit, his experience kicked in, he got through it and dominated the fight after that, but if he hadnt grabbed and held onto Shanes arm Floyd would have hit the canvas. He admitted to being hurt in the post fight interview.
whos got more power than mosley at welterweight? nobody is the answer you are looking for.
Mayweather as great defense skills, this is why a powerful but predictable hit on him wont hurt as much. But a combination of shots that comes from all angles would be painful. Mayweather must fight at least 1 true war to be consider a ATG. Leonard did, Ali, Robinson, Hearns, Hagler all the Legends did...if he wants to be in the same league he must do it.
if mosely couldnt knock floyd out with a perfect punch, pac sure as hell cant.
floyd didnt even go to the ground
If manny kos floyd it will be with many punches. Not 1 punch! :L
More than feather-fisted Mayweather managed to do. This guy is so much bigger yet he couldn't achieve what Manny achieved at 130.
What did manny achieve? he knocked Marquez down 4 times, and managed to lose the fight in my opinion, and still barely got out of the rematch without a loss. Mayweather knocked him down and outboxed him for 12 rounds, there's no question as to who won between Mayweather/Marquez. The same cannot be said for Pac's fights against him.
