I would give Oscar a really good chance. He could box, was also quick on his feet and very durable; great chin. I see Oscar landing that left hook a couple of times, but in the end Hearns would establish the distance needed to keep Oscar at bay. It would be close and competitive, but Hearns wins a U.D. Lets also remember that Oscar was a great finisher, so he could very well stop Hearns.
DLH could theoretically hurt Hearns with a left hook and then follow up and finish him, but I would highly doubt that would happen.
This would be one of the rare occasions where DLH doesn't have a better jab or a hand speed advantage over his opponent. He's going up against a taller, rangier fighter whom not only is terrific at boxing from the outside, but had a monster right hand and excellent left hook to the body. I remember DLH saying after the Quartey fight that the reason he was so tenative for much of the fight was because he was nervous of Ike's punching power. Well Hearns's right cross is arguably the greatest ever in the history of the sport.
Hearns by UD.
Oscar won't be stopped. I think either Hearns or De La Hoya wins a close decision. It would be interesting to see who wins the battle of the jabs. Both guys have great jabs. Hearns uses his height more and has longer reach. Oscar can surely hurt hurns with his left hook but i don't know if he would get an opportunity to land it.
what about when he gave birth in the middle of the hopkins fight...the way he was rolling around tryin to push that baby out
don't blame DLH for taking a liver shot when he was trying to defend and looking out for those lead heat butts
the punches were hurting him but he never really looked that "stunned" if you know what i'm trying to say
He would have been Koed if he didn't pull a Cintron.
Hopkins dominated and KOed him without even breaking a sweat or trying hard to begin with. Hears would KO him rather easily, styles make fights, and Hears is all wrong for fish nets.
you mean flash quit-on-your-stool-to-stop-the-beating?
see above, i didnt reply to you claiming the pacquiao fight. the flash knockdown was to your post saying the quartey fight
You didn't think he looked hurt?
Or is your hate for Fudge blinding you from la verdad?
