Exactly.
Wrong. They wanted to suspend him for a year before the lab evidence even came in. His first hearing was Feb. 10th or so and they didn't do the lab tests until March if I remember right.
The cunt Karen Chappelle was overzealous from the start without even knowing what they had.
Political bureaucratic witchhunt from the start.
if you take any gauze and roll it up inside a glove, after many punches teh gauze will tighten up, from all the force, eventually it will be hard as hell. Say round 10 and on the gauze would be hard. Try it, take some gauze and simply wrap your hand nicely with it. Punch your heavy bag over and over and the gauze will fold under the pressure of the hits and compress, making it harder.
This is common sense.
I cant believe people on here still argue about whether Margs had plaster of paris in his wraps against Mosley, or not. The CSAC after the initial investigation ans sending the substance off to get tested said when they suspended him originally that the test results came back that the substance was sulphur and calcium...otherwise known as PLASTER once it gets wet...then it hardens to fit the shape it is molded in. Basically they slightly wet the stuff then wrap the hands and once the gloves are on and dude really got a good sweat going it would harden to fit the shape of his knuckles pretty much. Bottom line is the CSAC ran tests and the knucklepad was covered in the two main components of plaster of paris. Period.
this moron didn't actually say this to the the nsac did he? LOL! If he did he has to be the stupidest person in boxing...I shake my head....just when you thought the guy couldn't look any worse...
The illegal pad was plaster of paris, and the only time people contradict themselves is when they are lying.
It was for the pads. Which are just rolled up gauze. There was no plaster.
All boxers use those little rolls of gauze over their knuckles. This whole suspension was over a non issue. Its more of a technicality than anything else. Under csac rules its an "infraction". Which is like getting a ticket for driving without a seatbelt.
:dunce:
So which one is it, was it plaster of paris or illegal knuckle padding?
tired of this. margo never cheated. hes the real victim. margo would beat shane and cotto up easily in a rematch. margo wasn't mentally there the first time againt shane.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha
You mean he wasn't mentally there once Shane punched him in the mouth.
Plaster is a hard product son.
Does this mean he's used Plaster of Paris in the past? This quote confused me. Is he saying that he's used a similar knuckle pad before?
It sure does...fuk that cheating scumbag, hopefully CSAC denies him a license too so he can just go away for good!

wrong you need to educate yourself son.
Here is an interview on youtube with Margarito saying " I felt good for the Cotto fight.. we had the right wraps " etc etc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBSRlcxsOIw&feature=related
What other boxer in history has ever thought about his "wraps" when thinking about a fight from his past???
He might not be the smartest dude from Mexico.
I have not ever seen a fighter who does not know what is going into his wraps.
So margachito's culpability can be reduced to these analogues:
He's either bush stupid, grossly irresponsible and arrogant or cheney sly and evil. Either way, the responsibility is his. He needs to stop his whining, the sniveling sod.
he knows capetillo puts the pad in his wraps, but he doesn't know what capetillo has done w/ the pads.
Is marg:
a) stupid? probably.
b) irresponsible? maybe
c) arrogant? yes
d) cheney sly? no, too dumb imho
e) evil? who isn't?
a boxer needs to trust his corner to do right, a boxer can't focus on every little detail otherwise he'll be distracted.
You don't concentrate on your upcoming match? Are you focusing on your trainer (who's wrapped your hands thousands of times) or playing through your gameplan in your head?
He mentioned nothing of what you say, which makes perfect sense, maybe just a poor use of words as usual from margo and camp..."zoning out"...means "spacing out or kinda out of it."
He shouldn't have used the words zoning, he looks worse every time he opens his mouth. He should let his lawyer do his talking, but it seems he's not done a very good job, else if he was innocent he should have no problem getting his license back, right?
No they weren't. Read the story I posted.
He didn't cheat.
How are you going to try and argue the the wraps were not hardened, when Capetillo himself admitted they ware hardened and would do more damage. Did you even bother read the whole story you posted?
From the article you posted: Capetillo did acknowledge that the hardened pads would do more damage had they not been found by the commission.
Awesome post, N!! Haha...right? I'm not a boxer but i would imagine you get used to how your gloves feel that you can tell when something changes. Tony says he's going to start paying attention to his wrappings, instead of "zoning out"
WTF?? Lol! What boxer zones out just before one of the biggest fights of your life? I would be alert and adrenaline pumped up, stretching and moving around...FAR from "zoning out...good God. And "zoning out" were Margo's words...what's he do take a nap? Lol.

There's water-proof plaster, ever heard of them? You should check up on that. And this im pretty sure the block of plaster wasn't huge to the point where it'd take forever to dry. Your taking about a small sized piece to cover the knucle area. And if it took 20 mins to dry, he had alot of time till the fight had he gotten away with it.
Waterproof plaster is a variation of Plaster of Paris, its not as simple (chemically) as pop and considering only 2 chemicals were found on the gauze, its not likely some sort of waterproof plaster was used.
Either way my point isn't that he didn't use plaster-like substance or that it wouldn't help, rather, just merely pointing out the fact that its not like he had casts (which is what plaster of paris on gauze is) for wraps. They probably used some sort of calcium substance (may be as simple as ground up calcium pills) to make the wraps denser/heavier. Not exactly bricks but enough to do extra damage especially with Margo's volume punching.
Yeah. Thats it right there.
Yet for all this talk of "plaster wraps", not only was there never any plaster wraps, but there was also no plaster on the gauze pads.
Double fail.
:lol1:
The problem with this reasoning is that Capitello admited that he had placed the wrong(hardened illegal) pads. He admited the mistake. He stated that they were hardened pads used to protect the fighters hands when hitting bags with sand. The testing was only to validate what was already known that that there were plaster elements. Hell you got a confession on the pads. Why argue that point?
So what you're saying is the CSAC are a bumbling bunch of fools? Not that it isn't possible, but is that what he's hoping to prove in court?
They actually are... And, if you have seen their history of handling certain situations. you would notice that they are bumbling bunch of fools. They are up there with the TSAC.
The gauze pad was wrapped under the handwraps, still would have taken a long time to dry (in the best conditions it takes at least 20 mins to dry). Not to mention what happens when plaster gets wet? Go to Aaron Brothers, buy a $5 box of plaster, wet and mix it. Time how long it takes to dry and then after it dries, add water and rub it and tell us what happens. Don't want to do all that I'll tell you. It'll take about 45mins to get a solid set and after you wet it some more and apply friction, it'll crumble.

Nothing was wrong in Tito's hands though. He wrapped his hands the wrong way. Then they made him wrap them up the right away. It was made into a big deal of course cause it was a high-profile fight. Nobody found any banned substance anywhere or nor did people "magically" find something.
The wrap was already wet as the article said. Had Margarito gotten away, he had ALOT of time for it to dry. Agreed? You have the time during which he was getting it wrapped, waiting for the ring to be ready to come out for both fighters, walk to the ring, announcements, fighter introductions and then the ref. rules. You have about maybe 20 minutes after you wrap or hand or more for it to dry. He doesnt sweat during that whole timeline. Maybe a little cause of padwork but his boxing glove isn't that DAMP that something like plaster that just needs air to finish to become hardened can't happen.
