If you're an mma fan get the **** off this site and go to shitdog.com with the rest of the ed hardy wearing tapout douchebags. This part of the forum is for pure boxing enthusiasts, not 15 year old fags.
WHy use this video to defend boxing? This is the alast video I would ever want to show to defend boxing. You nitpicked what was said in the video. Lou got OWNED in this video.
This is just another thread made by a pretentious boxing fan.
I would have let Rogan talk to Kellerman...that makes more sense, and Kellerman would have torn his ass apart.
kellerman/stuart/merchant would've all torn him a new one...even lampley could've bang! bang! banged! him.

LOL word kellerman schools the shit out of joe
your a ufc fan i can tell.READ THE THREAD AND WATCH TEH VIDEO.they said boxing will never ever produce a m,ega star again and boxing was getting eaten up since 2007 and on mayweather, pacquiao, cotto have been ****ing ufc in the ass for 3 years.
I am a fan of both. So being a fan of UFC doesn't matter.
Mayweather, pacquiao and cotto were already known in 2007.
Cotto was nver a mega star. Pacquiao and Mayweather reached that status. Now look at the landscape after Pac and Floyd retire.
A Mega Star = Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali.
Not just being big in boxing but being big outside of boxing. If I walked down the street and asked a random person "Do you know who Miguel Cotto is" 90% of the time they will say no. Now if I asked "Do you know who Pacquiao is" they will say yes, the little guy who knocks out people.
See the difference between big in the boxing world and being a Mega Star?

never mind the 50 other valid points he made...
Well, we will have to see. After Floyd legitimately retires and Pacquiao leaves boxing for good. The landscape looks pretty barren.
Bradley is too old.
Maidana is relatively unknown outside of hardcore boxing fans.
Ortiz just took a big hit in popularity when he decided to quit in the middle of a fight.
Khan doesn't fight nearly enough to become a mega star. He fights 3 times a year now at most. Huge in the UK but not worldwide yet. If he can rack up LEGIT wins over known faces, then it's possible. At this rate though, hard to tell.
Juanma... everyone calls him a pussy.
Yuriorkis won't become one. Trust and believe that.
Concepcion. Do people even know him?
Jorge Linares is the only legit possibility but he took a huge set back 2 fights ago. So it may be harder to become a mega star for him. (24, already had a major title, has the body size to move up to at least JMW. Pretty face. Is basically a better young ODLH.)
Anything below Featherweight is ignored in the media outside Asia.
Majority of WWs are old or aren't well known.
JMW-MW is in the shadows. Sergio Martinez is too old.
Winner of Super 6 is possible but won't become a mega star unless they start KOing people cold. Because the general public expects heavier classes to KTFO people.
HW division................... no comment.
Joe Rogan may just be right. But who really knows? :dunno:

Fuk rogan's annoying.
MMA as an entity is fine, but man I can't stand rogan as a commentator/mouthpiece whatever. I avoid UFC just to avoid hearing him.
What a dick.
Pac is now the biggest mega star in boxing and action pack to back it up, and Rogan is huge fan of Pac. Hell everyone that loves action wants to see Pac fight.
How is Bradley too old? He's 26. If he gets by Alexander, he'll probably move up and fight the Berto-Jones winner and take over at 147. If anything, 25 is the perfect age.
Maidana probably won't be at the top, but he could be at the level of a guy like Antonio Margarito in his prime.
As for Khan, I guarantee he'll be on the p4p list if he fights Marquez. Not saying he'll deserve to be, but they'll do it because he'll probably look more impressive than Floyd did. He's probably gonna be GBP's new cash cow after Floyd.
I agree about Ortiz. Its gonna be reeeeally hard for him to bounce back. He needs to avenge that Maidana loss ASAP. I also agree about Linares, Concepcion and Gamboa. However Juanma will have a chance. People call Floyd a pussy and he's still p4p #2. Who knows, maybe he'll step up the competition after the Marquez fight.
Why did I read somewhere that Bradley was pushin 30? Shit, I shoulda double checked.
Joe Rogan just doesn't mean a big name in boxing world. He means a big star that is beyond just boxing. Oscar was beyond boxing. Floyd is beyond boxing. Pacquiao is beyond boxing. Tyson was beyond boxing. SRL was beyond boxing. Ali was beyond boxing. That type of mega star.
Khan has the potential though. Linares does too(being groomed by Oscar).
I disagree. Ward or Dirrell could be really big stars. Alexander, Bradley, and Khan could all be huge stars. Lower weight stars always end up hitting 140 or 147 and being huge stars.
Boxing will be fine. Everyone said boxing would die after De La Hoya, and instead we got both Floyd and Pac.
Joe Rogan means a mega star like ODLH, Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Ali. That type of mega star. Not just big around boxing circles.
To do that you need:
1. A polarizing personality. Love or hate no middle ground. (villain or hero).
2. Be Undefeated or Be very exciting.
3. Have a pretty face. (this one is optional but it keeps popularity high if they were to lose. Just look at ODLH.)
I would have let Rogan talk to Kellerman...that makes more sense, and Kellerman would have torn his ass apart.
Kellerman would have made Rogan look like an ignorant bitch.
if you dont like MMA dont watch it, if you dont like boxing, dont watch that.
both have good days and bad days, both are "usually" amazing athletes going
to war for our entertainment, and just as alot of MMA fights are overhyped so
are alot of boxing events. Mayweather vs Mosley, rd2. thats it, rest was shit.
I have been a huge boxing fan for about 15 years now, a few years ago some friends got me started watching MMA, most of these same friends decried boxing as boring and dead, but they simply dont know shit about what they are saying BECAUSE THEY DONT WATCH BOXING!!!!!! Most MMA fans are band wagon jumpers, and they cant even deny it because MMA hasnt been around that long. I mostly lost interest in MMA after a few years, if someone else pays for it and invites me, I go, but that is it. I am still a huge boxing fan and always will be. Anyone that claims boxing is on its way out simply dont know shit about. Period. Even after Mayweather and Paq retire there will be plenty of superstars, ones with potential to fill the void are Ward, Bradley, Khan, Alexander, Haye, Alverez, im sure im leaving some out. MMA nuthuggers, STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Better yet, bite my shiny metal ass.
