David Tua Vs Monte Barrett Is A Serious Mismatch! Here Is Why...

the problem with Barrett now is his punch resistance is no longer there.he's always in pretty good shape.vinny maddalone has been sparring with both monte & tua,& he says monte is in good shape.Barrett is past his best but let's not forget he lost to the WBA champion & took the solis fight on a few days notice.he was to fight sheldon hinton(#208 boxingrec)in my hometown but cancelled for the showtime payday.Ustinov is 300 pounds & a wall.Barrett couldn't do much but Ustinov couldn't finish him either.it's not like monte is fighting bums.he's fighting top contenders(although Ustinov is just big)& tua is no different.Barrett has seen better days but really is not taking terrible beatings that his brain will be scrambled.he's gotten 4 nice paydays in a row & I'm sure he will retire soon.he's a c+ guy now(use to be a B+)who isn't going to fight nobodies.he will just fight contrnders looking to stay busy or up & comers who need a name & a step up.Barrett is actually getting a full training camp so we will see how much he has left if anything....not much left imo though

Of course its a mismatch. Barrett is just the guy to go to when you want to make a statement. If he can look more impressive than Solis and Haye did, then his name will be back at the top of the division.

Well, no shit, of course it's a mismatch, but Tua has this contract with Maori TV and they probably couldn't get anyone better. As long as he starts taking fights against good opponents when he is done with that contract it's ok with me. I want to see Tua vs Peter and Arreola.

Lets Look here to why this fight is going to be a serious mismatch and early round knockout.... 1 ) Monte Barrett has only won 3 Of his Last 9 Fights... and 4 of them 9 fights he has lost by way of Knockout 2) Last 3 fights monte has lost by TKO to David Haye , Odlanier Solis and By Unanimous Decision to Alexander Ustinov 3) If the above does not spell mismatch then what is?? tua is pretty much just going to finish off barrett and probably going to leave him with some serious health problems...if i was barrett i would take atleast another year off or even consider retirement all together.. 4) why did david tua pick monte barrett?? why not fight somebody else in the ring who atleast has won their last few fights?? DUH! thats the plan for tua, thats why he's takin this fight. barrets kind of has a name and if tua wins that means he gets closer to a title shot. barrets probably takin this fight for a paycheck.
