Since when did voicing your opinion become a crime? I thought this was America, land of the freedom and liberty? what happened to that? They asked Floyd Sr what he tought about Manny and he spoke his mind, PERIOD. He felt that a man moving up from 135 to 147 in 6 months was impossible and keeping your speed, increasing power, while being lean was just unheard of. Rather you like it or not thats Floyds father and his son is the one fighting or going to fight Manny so he has every right as a trainer to speak out on how he feels about a fighter.
Manny still went on to win FOTD and numerous awards, he is still rated P4P and hasnt had any titles stripped. His fan base is still the same and he is still in the run for the biggest payday of his life. So when did these "opinions" damage Mannys character?
Manny is the only athlete in any sport who can refuse a blood test, sue people that suspect him of cheating and still be considered clean. ANy body that goes through the trouble and jump through loops of fire is hidding something. And its only a matter of time before his dirty draws are shown to the world. If he was indeed juicing and has agreed to test which means he will be clean (system should be clean since he has waited so long to agree to terms) he is in a world of TROUBLE.....in the words of FLoyd Sr...BAD NEWS!!!! BAD NEWS GOT CHA BOY!
Yeah I had heard that.
The Benn fight was crazy for me. I was a big fan of both fighters, but the rabbit punching (on Benn's part) got to a point that made me sick!!!
I hated Benn for the way he acted after that fight (the post fight interview)...I then saw a youtube video of Benn, and the things that happened after the fight when he learned Gerald was in serious condition..It made me a fan of his again. Benn was a warrior though, I have much respect for that cat!
Benn was decent enough to raise money for Gerald. That is a class act.I wont forget how the 2nd fight with Eubank went-Don King must have been pissed off! lmao! (Don King was to get the winner of that fight-but it ended as a draw,so the contract was nullified)
2 of the biggest punchers at the time. The G-man beat up Roy Jones in the amateurs as well....sad story with the Benn fight.

dumb floyd fans, freedom of speech is allowed, the government wont put you in jail for it. But the accused have their right to defend themselves. Its no suprise you guys cant distinguish the two.
look up McCarthyism and the consequences that followed it
Good point about ditinguishing rights of freedom of speech and Pacs right to defend himself. Not all Floyd fans are dumb tho bro, I'm a fan of both these fighters and alot of floyd fans I know can grasp this concept. They just dont post on forums which is unfortunate because it would lead to more open minded debate.
the idiots that critize the lawsuit (mainly mayweather fans) are too naive to realize that tainting another man's livelyhood and means of generating income is different than free speech
of course they will defend their crackheads idols for whatever reason
Good talk bro.
It is always good to get your opinion out with respect for one another.
The fights with Julian are what made me a fan of the G-Man!!! Both of those cats could really bang too. Jackson was known for putting cats to sleep!

That was 1 of the weakest & most self righteous moves in history. Imagine if Frazier had took Ali to court for slander. lol B!tch move.
Frazier was mocked as an unskilled boxer and uncletom. I agree that a slander case would have been a bitch move. However I dont recall anyone on Alis team calling frazier a cheat. All professional boxers are businessmen fighting other businessmen in a ring. The business accused of cheating is then asked questions about alegations of cheating for several months which leads to its decline in stock due to bad publicity.
Lets say you didnt get a promotion because someone said you cheated the system. Wouldnt you try to defend yourself legally by trying to recoup the potential earnings lost for your family? Or are you the type to call someone a cheat so the other guy wont get the promotion? Which one of these scenarios is really is really a bitch move?
I dont think Pac can get much from this lawsuit. However legally defending himself against false allegations is his right just as much as it is anyones right to call him a cheat without evidence.
I belive OST should be incorporated in all profesional sports. Although its not required in profesional boxing, Pac unfortunately has to take these tests to clear his name not because hes dirty, but hes falsely accused of being dirty. The Maywethers get what they wanted by discrediting Pac and making him take the tests.
However, if Pac drops the lawsuit then this whole fiasco was just for publicity and we all took the bait, hook line and sinker.
freedom of speech should always be encouraged and defended ruthlessly against these bitch ass pussys that get butt hurt at every little thing said about them.
I'd rather settle in court than the whole community becomes savages, uncivilized mofos burning, robbing my town for something they don't agree on, even if the situation is free speech-base.
Fair enough.I respect your opinion enough to leave it at that.
I personally believe Manny will lose against Floyd...maybe if the fight happens,we can place a bet in the future... when I get some points-lol!
btw-I loved watching the G-man fight....you watch his fights with Julian Jackson???
Good talk bro.

Bold: Sorry about that, I have picked Manny to beat Floyd.
I have stated many times that I do think Manny is clean, but his actions have not helped the situation any...I thought he, and his team should have just said no from the get go. They did have that option. The fact that they accepted, then backed out, and the circus that took place after, is why Manny is a suspect right now. I do understand that.
As far as what Sr said, and Manny's actions, it is still sort of a grey area for me. Reall only cause I think he is clean. I mean if I didn't think he was clean, I guess what Sr said, and Manny's actions in the first fight falling through would go hand in hand.
That being said, I do think Manny is clean. If I turn out to be wrong, I will have no problem trashing Manny for it. Now if he is clean, I will never again bother with the situation.
^^^I don't think that answerd your last question. Manny's rep began to take a hit soon after the rumors. This board, and many others are proof of that. People started saying (on the forums) that they thought that was the case all along (saying they knew he was on something). Many boxers came out and said the same. The first fight falling through, and the reason why, just added fuel to the fire.

You have picked Floyd or Manny to win?
I'm unsure if Manny is a clean athlete or not.I find all the excuses surrounding him to be bizarre and convenient of someone that should be suspect of using PEDs.
Now I am not saying he is guilty of this, but that his own actions/ lack there of, have caused this suspicion more than not.To be honest,we may never know, but at the very least-the tests can be used as a form of detourent for any PED use...it still serves a purpose.I don't think it should be condemned as it has been by some people.
My response to your previous one is (about Pac's damaged rep)-do you think that Floyd sr had more influence over boxing fans perception on Manny using PED's,or do you find Manny's rigidity to cause the larger urge of suspicion?

I don't understand how the TS can defend Sr. It's called slander. And I like how the TS states the whole "135 to 147 in 6 months was impossible" issue. Since 2006 (Morales 3), Manny has weighed between 144 and 148 on fight night. If Pacquiao has gained any weight, it has been 4 pounds.
That is all.
Good reply bro.
I feel you. Most of my statement in this topic are to point out that the case does hold water.
Most forget that the rumors started right after the Hatton fight, and never stopped. Leading to the OST demand. I for one think Manny is clean, but i'm not everybody.
I will also give full credit if Manny beats Floyd (I have also picked him to do so)...And will think about OST or PED's again.

The world needs freedom of speech and beliefs indeed.
That is why I support the works of the Ku Klux Klan. In my opinion, they are making this earth a more beautiful, presentable place...
it is my humble belief that they only want to rid this planet of undesirables
Well,I don't intend to speak for everyone, but if Manny was to beat Floyd (I am not convinced he will),then I can say that all the credit goes to him.Especially if he agrees to randomized testing.
I think it clears any doubts and only serves him better for this.He really should have done this from the get go.For me,and quite a bit of other people,we would never have thought him to be suspect if there were not all these excuses from him and his team.
I actually picked him to beat Clottey, Cotto, Hatton, etc-based on styles, habits, etc,but the thought of a "hidden" advantage disturbs me and in all honesty, anyone who blatantly has conflict with this form of testing probably will draw negative attention towards themselves.

Pac was just awarded FOTD award recently. Naa. That's not the sign of a man being damaged. Only Flomos/Pac haters say Pac's rep is tainted, damaged, etc. The more Pac haters hate the more sympathy he gets.
Also, I guess Brain Kenny, Teddy Atlas, and other in the sport are Pac haters right?
I don't hate Pac.
Don't be such a hugger.
I agree with you, sort of...The only reason I say that is, Manny character is damaged.
No matter what Manny agrees to at this point, 14 days, 0 cut off's, whatever. Folks will still think he is a cheat.
If the fight was to go through, and he came out clean for every test, and some how beats Floyd, many will think he found a way to cheat the system.
His character is damaged. That is where this case comes into play.
