Most people call this fight the greatest fight ever, bolony, this will be a boring fight, mayweather will win by a SD., you want a real fight. go for Margarito/cotto , margarito/ pacquiao or cotto/ pacqiuao.
Whats with todays boxing fans? Why does every fight have to be a blood and guts battle for you to be entertained.
Sit down and appreciate "skill" from time to time.
I always enjoy Floyd's boxing clinic, but if the fight does happen Pac will most likely be throwing quick fluries which may cause for an exchage if floyd gets overwhelmed.
How many southpaws has Floyd fought in his career? Whether a war or a chess match, I dont think I will find this fight to be boring.
There was quite a few lefties early in his career....more than people seem to remember.

Yeah there is a possibility that it will be "boring" but more important than action in a fight is the meaning of a fight. Would you rather pay for vazquez vs. Marquez or Mayweather vs Pacquiao
lol a lot of floyd fans are too idealistic when it comes to the word 'sweet science' as if it refers only to what floyd does. srr/ali/leonard all slug it out one time or another in their fights, you wont call their fighting sweet science? do you call duran's style ala MMA or do you think there's a technique or science also to what he does?
did you see how much pac made cotto miss? sure he'll still get tagged just because making more offensive moves leaves you to more risks at getting hit. gimme a break.
First of all, I'm not just a Floyd fan. I'm a boxing fan. Did I say that SRR/ALi/Leonard were not examples of the sweet science? Did I say Duran's style was ala MMA? The subject was about Floyd's style being more or less boring hence the reason he was used as an example. I never said he was the only purveyor of the sweet science. Learn to read and comprehend before you use my words in quotation. You sound like a fool. You basically confirmed my point that in terms of boxing, Floyd at this stage of the game is above those that you mentioned. That does not imply he's a better all around fighter but a better boxer. Which, leads to the point that if you watch BOXING, he can in no way be boring. Next time try to stay on the subject instead of petitioning for your favorite fighter to be relevent in this discussion.
your theories on why pac won are getting funnier. pac only grew this big after the odlh fight, back then he was only as big as the mexican trio. ppl here even argue that the ppv buys of pac-jmm2 was because of jmm, so no he wasnt the bigger name back then, jmm was the last mexican standing and he was a big name at that time too.
IMO, Manny was more established than JMM. But neither was a household name at this point.
I think he lost the draw. I didn't say he lost the the other fight. I thought JMM counterpunching was more effective and took a lot of steam out of manny.
I wouldn't say JMM was robbed. I would say the guy with the bigger name got the benefit of the doubtbecause he was given the "close" rounds.

did i say the first fight wasnt close? you're the one who make it seem jmm was robbed lol. in fact technically due to the scoring booboo it was pac who got robbed, but you dont hear him whine about it.
and no, not most ppl saw jmm won the 2nd fight. press row was split down the middle on who won. the KD did it for PAC, no one was robbed. if jmm won, it would be justifiable too.

The 1st fight was close enough that they had a 2nd. Please don't lie. Most people thought JMM won the 2nd fight.
My only point is when guys are close in ability it makes good fights. Floyd Gatti was boring as hell but gatti ward was one of the great trilogies ever.

lol you said it, if the judge didnt make a mistake of scoring it a 10-7 rd then pac would be 2-0 against jmm. you're too biased if you think pac won only 2rds. hell even the whole hbo crew had pac winning that first fight, and steward wasnt even a pac fan back then. only floyd fans and mexicans think jmm won that fight :lol1:
and thanks for admitting that floyd doesnt take risks anymore than he usually does :lol1:

What are you talking about? Younger fighters obviously have to take more risks when they are up and coming. Once established it changes.
I did read. Check the context. My point was the fights were exciting becasue the fighters were evenly matched. Manny was not "better" and be honest, most people thought the draw was JMM wining. hell he won 10 rounds manny had a 10-6 rd in the ist.
Manny cotto was not that exciting in that there was no doubt who would win after 4 rounds. The may ssm fight sucked after 3 rds. C

Watching Floyd put on clinics is very exciting to me. The Pac fight will be no differnt. Two different class of talent and skill in that ring.
i agree. floyd won't stand there and cover up like clottey.
a very big contrast in styles, and we know manny is all action. floyd's style will cut manny's activity level down considerably, he won't be throwing 1200 punches in this fight......
at the same time, manny's activity level will indeed force mayweather to pick up his pace, more than he's used to, to be able to effectively counter what manny does.
It's called BOXING not slugging, Ultimate Fighting or Brawling. It is often referred to as the sweet science. Which means sometimes it requires deep thinking and strategy to overcome your opponent. Do you honestly think Shane gassed out after only two rounds? Really? He was overcome when he landed his best shot and still lost the last half of the round. His confidence was shaken and snatched from him. He was OUTBOXED. Do you not think that De La Hoya knew coming into the fight that Floyd wasn't going to attack. Oscar was overcome with frustration that comes with missing and getting hit. Again he to was OUTBOXED. Real boxing fans know that the object of boxing is to hit and not get hit. If your opponent landed a punch its because you made a mistake and failed . Fighters that trade punches do this because they lack the skills to not get hit.

Name one boring fight between Mayweather and a southpaw, name one.

thats good and all, and ima let u finish. but i gotta say one thing
mma is the greatest sport of all time
pac would bring the excitement not floyd. in mayweather-delahoya, oscar brought the excitement not floyd. if oscar hadnt been busy it wouldve been a boring fight. shane brought the excitment in the first few rounds, not floyd. when shane gassed out, floyd wasnt even able to bring the excitement to a certain level that would excite the regular boxing fans. these regular boxing fans are the majority of the ppv buyers.
