I know this has been mentioned time and time again. It seems the consensus is that Floyd is the quicker with 1 punch and Pac with combinations. I was watching highlights of Pac/Cotto and Mayweather/Mosley and in my eyes(hopefully not too bias), Pac has lost a lot of hand speed in the move to 147. In some places to me, he doesn't really look very quick at all. Am I crazy? This is not an insult to Pac and I'm not trying to knock him, just wanted some other honest opinions. Compare the two and give ur opinion.

How many punches per round has nothing to do with who is faster. Floyd is very fast and throws but is very conservative with his punches. Hense, a much higher accuracy rate than Pac. Pac throws a lot more, but misses a lot more as well.
The thread was about hand speed, not punching power.
Floyd is a different kind of fighter than Pac is. He doesn't commit with his punches as Pac does and much more defensive. Pac commits, but leaves himself wide open to being hit. To each his own, Pac way of doing things is more exciting, but much more dangerous as well, while Floyd's is safer but more successful.
I'm a huge pac fan and I'll admit first hand that May IMHO is truly faster when it comes to hand speed. Don't get me wrong they are both extremely fast, but May is just quicker. When I think of Pac, what amazes me is his pace. When he gets going....he gets going and doesnt ever stop. He's just this Tazmanian devil know what I mean?
May = Fast hand speed
Pac = Fast just not quicker than Floyd imo.

You do realize that even when Pac was fighting at featherweight that his normal walk around weight was around the high 140's. The question isn't how he was able to move in weight so rapidly it was how he was able to fight at 126....It's even been stated and recorded several times that even when he sparred back in the FW days that his sparring opponents were always 1 or 2 weight above him.
You should support your claim with computer stats on how many punches Pacman averages per round!
Pacman hands are faster and harder than Floyd, again compare the stats regarding the KO Record of both Boxer, Pacman has a higher percentage of KO!
Again in his last five fights against heavier Boxer Pacman stopped - Diaz, Dela Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto; and decisions Clottey! thats 4 out of 5 by KO/TKO!
On the other hand, Floyd jr, fought two and failed to register KO wins against Marquez and Mosley, whose age aren't comparable to Pacman's last 5 opponents.
are you joking or do you really think this is logical?

Why don't we just ask these two fighters how much PAC has slowed down, lmao
Wow. Glad I didn't see the Clottey debacle. I'm embarrassed for Clottey. If that clip was representative of the fight as a whole (which is what I've heard), he showed NO heart that night. :thumbsdow

Hmmm, but it's also true that both Oscar and Hatton were faster in their fights with Floyd. Hatton was quicker on his feet and with his hands and Oscar was much quicker in general.
how the **** did that happen?? PEDS??
If it is an accurate measure I thought Manny showed much faster handspeed against Oscar than Floyd did. The same is true in their bouts with Hatton.
I use these two fights because they are common opponents. Because comparing two fighters against different opponents is meaningless.
I would have used Marquez but It was obvious the added weight slowed him down jumping up al the way to welterweight.

I think his speed has always been ridiculously overrated. He was always fast, but never close to the fastest or even one of the fastest. He had very good speed and threw a lot of combo's which made him look faster but against his best opponents the speed difference hasn't been that noticeable.
