These moments in boxing where one blow changes a man forever. Whether it be stylistically, or just overall.
Chavez on Taylor that big right hand he landed on him Taylor was never the same
Jermain Taylor getting the counter cross by Hopkins in their first fight, after this punch lands Taylors career goes in the toilet
Hey Starjammer. You ever watch Whale Wars?
I like to think you are first mate on that one ship.
Your name is Peter Hammarstedt and you have a tattoo of an anchor on your arm as well as being a psychic.

Who is the psychic now?

lmao! Good one, J.
Never seen it though :P
He sounds like a regular badass.
That's the strangest thing I've read, man. You can narrow it down to that one specific punch? Yeah it hurt him...but didn't you see the mega shots Pavlik landed on Taylor? Those were the ones that sent Taylor's career south...the ones that stripped him off the Undisputed MW Championship...
Well actually I would argue that it was Taylor himself who inadvertently guided his career south.
the force of that one punch really hurts taylor bad because he's coming in with his own, and it's a counter cross thrown perfectly by a master of the counter cross, hopkins. Look how hard it smacks, his head flies like a bag. I dunno, I figured it was the most damaging punch I'd seen him take looking at him and how he was all hugging B-Hop.
Before that punch landed, you didn't really see Taylor get hurt hurt, ever. It was only after that punch that Pavlik and Froch raped him

Mayweather vs. Hatton.
Round 10.
Hatton was never the same after Floyd banked him off the ringpost. Jaidon was never the same after Allan Green...
accumulation of punches led to that. Hatton was already reeling when he got hit by that left.
Pac's was the shot heard around the world.
Hatton was never the same after Floyd banked him off the ringpost. Jaidon was never the same after Allan Green...
That was one of the more vicious ko's I've seen in awhile. Green got in alot of left hooks and crosses before the ref could stop it. Two or three while Jaidon was out already, if I remember.
chin checker got chin checked that night
Meldrick Taylor was never the same because of the move up in weight to 147 and the prolonged beating he took throughout the fight, not because of the final right hand. Even without that late rally, his career wouldn't have been much different. Hell, Chavez or no Chavez, his stay at the top would've most likely been short.
The main change about Jermain Taylor is that he simply fought a higher level of opposition once he faced B-Hop. Great fighters like Hopkins and Winky Wright, bigger guys who could hit like Kelly Pavlik and Arthur Abraham, or simply really tough style matchups like Cory Spinks.
man ever since hopkins fought jt he has been a complete bum
the trainer has nothing to do with it
and he was badly hurt by that punch, watch the reply he holds on for dear life like an infant
"badly hurt"? I don't know about all that.
