P4P wise Calzaghe loses every round.
How about reality wise...like in the ring where Floyd can't hit Joe more than 30 times all night and ends up getting ko'd because of one single left (don't forget Calz is a southpaw too) from the Italian Dragon
im dead serious.. even @ 160.
No offense but this thread is trash and Calzaghe, with his 21 pound weight advantage, height advantage, reach advantage, and intangibles would drop Floyd or UD him with relative ease.
.......................crap, joke thread- I hope
Sorry mate but based on where reference the general census for P4P is one of two things:
1) It's accomplishment based - ie: how many belts a guy gets or the weight divisions a fighter dominates and basically just how kick ass he is compared to the next guy etc. This seems to be the scale used in many arguments for or against manny or Floyd as P4P no 1.
2) (my preference) scaled skill comparison. Eg if a fighter is scaled up or down in size proportionally could they beat the next guy. the thing to remember here is speed; peeps slow down the bigger they get, footwork drops off, mobility etc which makes it very subjective.
No Ceiling. i respect ya brother but Floyd is MUCH slower than he was back in the day @ a lower weight so your basis for the 168 comparison is big time flawed bro :boxing:
Not true sir.
The Point of a P4P fight is to leave Floyd with the EXACT skill, movement and skills that he has now but in a 168 pound body.
He'd shut Calzaghe out and make him look like a fool.
Floyd doesn't have the frame to fight at the same weight as Joe, it just wouldn't happen.
even if it did floyd would have problems too manypunches from too many angles and matches his speed floyd would lose.
I'd expect Mayweather to knock out Calzaghe at 160lbs as Joe would be a raisin.
P4P, Calzaghe is probably better than anyone Mayweather has ever fought. So how he "wins every round", I dont know...
Imagine Floyd with all the skills and speed he has....at 168. Also the same height and weight as Joe.
Vs. Calzaghe.
P4P: All things equal. Saying that if they were the same size.
I thought this was common knowledge.

at 168 it'll be calzaghe by split but if he was forced to drop to 160 and Floyd moved up then I think it would be Floyd by split margin.
Neither man would dominate but I think Joe vs Floyd at 168 is Calzaghe all day. Floyd would compete and maybe win over a judge but he loses clearly.
just my opinion.
How exactly do you define P4P wise in the sense of an actual match up?

Good point, I would say if they were the same size... but there are still bigger guys at there weight than others so its hard to say P4P wise... I would say that Floyd is better than Joe P4P though, without doubt in my mind.
come on spacy you never heard when nas said"your arms to short to box with god"lol..its a joke man...just a joke
Okay fair enough.
P4P wise Calzaghe loses every round.
Oh yeah, P4P Calzaghe loses... I think he could give him a little trouble with his workrate but I still think Floyd would be too good for him, but saying hed beat him at his weight class is crazy... Floyd hasn't even got the frame to fight at the same weight as him.
