Not every two fights deserves a trilogy. Did Montell Griffin and Roy Jones have one? Come on, man. Even you know this better than anyone else because Pac shut down a third match with Marquez like RIGHT AFTER they fought a second time. No need for a trilogy then? But we need one for a fighter at the end of his rope? Try again.
Do you seriously argue this way? You can't use hindsight in this scenario. At all.
Pac wasn't p4p #1 then and Rahim hadn't fought either at the time. And I don't think Freitas beat him anyway.
LOL. That's like someone saying, "Do you really think Floyd should've fought Castillo? The guy got KO'ed in four by Hatton and barelys craped by Ngoudjo. Be serious.
Hind sight is always 20/20 ever heard of that phrase? It applys to you perfectly because not until the last 3 or 4 months have i ever heard anyone ever make a case for this fight. None!!! So if picking out any b- fighter you can to somehow downplay Pac's accomplishments is gonna make you feel like you have justified your views on Pac more power to you because i find your argument to be so desperate that it makes me chuckle a bit. And I don't even really like pac myself thats the funny part.
Ok Pac wasn't #1 he was #2 or 3# at the most excuse me LOL!!! And you can't compare castillo to Raheem because Castillo was the fuking LW champion while Raheem beat Morales a fighter who according to you was at the end of his rope. Please stop with the contradictions I beg you!

OWNED!
hhhh
I don't know who those many were... I never saw them at that time. Everybody I talked to and knew had Pac winning the fight beforehand. The rematch was different though. I knew a few who thought Morales could win the rematch. But, didn't know any who though he could win the third fight.
There are/were many Erik Morales DIE-HARDS.. But I agree. I knew it was a wrap as soon as it was announced.
Marquez was a counter puncher for christ sake you have to be defensive first in order for you to counter.
And are you really comparing a big lumbering idiot like Kelly Pavlik to a blindingly fast fighter like Pac? Seriously?
This dude just compared pavlik to pac. LOL! :drive:
ANyone who knows anything about boxing can see pacmans resume is shy of any Defensive fighters.
Look at Pavlik. Gets lost once there is a little movement infront of him.

Yeah and it was the rubber match of a trilogy. You act like trilogies are something new in this sport. And in place of Raheem? Why just Raheem? Again there were plenty of other b level fighters who were just as good or even better in the lightweight division at the time (Fritas,Corrales,Casamayor,Castillo) that were much more deserving of a shot at Pac. Lets also not forget that not a boxing expert in the world cares that he didn't fight Raheem because as I said a hundred times before Zahir Raheem is a complete and utter nothing when compared to all the great fighters pac ended up fighting over the past 5 years. Seriously the guy went onto fight nothing but studs and you are going to bash him because he didn't fight some middle of the road contender. Shit Raheem wouldn't even crack the top 15 of Pac's 15 toughest opponents.

One other question! If Raheem was so deserving of a shot at pac why did he go on to do nothing with his career.
Do you seriously argue this way? You can't use hindsight in this scenario. At all.
You really think a guy who cant beat Arcalino Fritas and Ali Funeka ever really deserved a shot at the current number 1 PFP fighter?
Pac wasn't p4p #1 then and Rahim hadn't fought either at the time. And I don't think Freitas beat him anyway.
In that case Floyd should of just went ahead and fought Mathew Hatton/Nate Campbell since we are gonna set the bar that low.
LOL. That's like someone saying, "Do you really think Floyd should've fought Castillo? The guy got KO'ed in four by Hatton and barelys craped by Ngoudjo. Be serious.
:lol1:
That would depend...on whether Raheem was actually drained or not. I suspect he would put up a good fight and that would kill that theory.
SIMPLE, Pac wins = drained. Pac lose = not drained.
I know TI and other Pac fans wouldn't complain :lol1:. I don't know about the other set of fans though. They probably wouldn't have but maybe they would since Pac got this whole thing with him that he only fights drain fighters. So they probably would of said Raheem was drain too :dunno:
Exactly! I wouldn't mind if he fought raheem. But if manny beat raheem, he would be swept under the rug (like sasakul, ledwaba..) He'd be another one of those IMO. The whole manny fights drained fighters theory would have probably started sooner as well.. LOL! :drive:
You may feel that way, but there were MANY who felt morales would beat manny in that 3rd fight. There still would be others who felt manny ducked a morales 3rd fight. Just like many are saying manny ducked JMM for their third fight. I do agree, the 3rd fight was useless, but not everyone felt that way

That argument doesn't hold water. Sorry. Yes he fought better fighters but none were in place of Rahim. In place of Rahim was a guy whose ass he'd just kicked.

Are you reading posts like TI's? Do you see him mad that Pac forced Morales to go down to 130 when he clearly wasn't healthy at that weight? I think it depends. Raheem wasn't struggling to make 130 and I'm sure he wouldn't complain. I'm not sure the public would either.
I wouldn't complain either. I wouldn't mind if manny fought raheem at the lower weights.. Raheem is nothing special. I don't look at mannys 3rd fight with morales as some big accomplishment either. But to say manny was ducking raheem? LOL! :drive:
People actually think manny ducked jmm for a 3rd fight? I do see things objectively... After what manny has accomplished these past several years, I'm wondering how you would think manny was avoiding anyone esp. at the lower weights. :drive:
No you don't :lol1:. I can't believe you can compare the second bout between Pac-Morales to Pac-JMM and come up with this. Just wow.
Sounds like it's the other way around. ANyone who knows anything about boxing can see pacmans resume is shy of any Defensive fighters. Clottey being the only 1, but isn't a mobile defender and doesn't slip punches and off of them.
Fact remains, styles make fights. You can't look at pacs resume and current spot in the p4p and make an assumption on how he would have done during that time against Raheem.
He could have very well gotten lost in there when he saw a few of the things zahir was doing for the first time. Just speaking from experience - I helped prepare anthony thompson (sparring partner) for 2 of his bouts and he wasn't near as strong in there with me as he was with other guys who stood still longer, simply because I moved a bit more.
Look at Pavlik. Gets lost once there is a little movement infront of him. Not to say this will kill pacman, but every fighter has a particular style that he doesn't look best against or that can drive him nuts. I don't recall pac coming across anyone who at least "tried" to make him miss, and pay for it. Or who would lead with unorthodox punches.
Sasakul? Ledwaba? Marquez???
So you write this as a reply to IMDAZED post
But, you agree with him.
And, how was he nuthugging? Who was he nuthugging? For you to call him a piece or trash and Islamic cunt when you later agreed to his post... It is just weird and dumb.
I'm not even paying attention to that buffoon.
So you write this as a reply to IMDAZED post
you're a piece of trash your islamic cunt
But, you agree with him.
I do agree with this though, Freitas is a soccer player not a boxer ...
what's my problem?
well, not particularly, but people who nuthug and bandwagon on one single fighter tend to annoy me. I've always wondered why people can't just appreciate boxing as a whole and not get on a bandwagon, /shrug.
