Both of them got publicity off their last fights with the two best and most famous fighters on the planet so the general public knows their names, it would also be a good measuring stick as to who is better between Mayweather and Pacquiao although the old saying styles makes fights still comes into effect.
I'm sure the fans would buy it on name power and just because of the Pac-May link, besides it'd be a really good fight imo and is 50/50.

Sure undercard for Pac vs.May would be good.

Yes people know their names but each of them didn't even throw punches during their last fight. Hardly anything to get excited about if the only time you've seen Mosley or Clottey was based on their last fights.
Right?
If Clottey gets an HBO date...Arum must really be the biggest pimp in the world...why anyone would give him a date after that pitiful non-performance he gave against Pacquaio is beyond me...honestly...Clottey did a dis-service to himself and I just believe that he was given incentive to not really hurt Pacquaio...because really...will Arum really sacrifice Pacquaio in favor of Clottey?
With Pac/Cotto...he's in a win/win situation regardless of the winner...with Pac/Clottey...not so much.
The dude was in his shell posture before his name was called to the ring. As far as Mosley...he's done. Cotto did him in several years ago and Mayorga nearly finished him. The Margarito fight I believe was an abberation and the Floyd fight showed that. He can't pull a trigger anymore and that fight will be sad.
Mosley vs some random no-hoper to get a W and leave on good terms and Clottey never to be heard from again
More fights are better regardless whos fighting really.. but if they even for a second thought about putting a fight like that on PPV they'd be smoking some good shit cause no one would buy it.. if its not on regular HBO i wouldnt buy it..
......are you crazy????? we have a guy who gasses out easily now that hes 38 (mosley) vs a guy who goes into a defensive shell after the 2nd round (clottey) and barely throws any punches throughout the rest of the fight...and you want this fight to go down?? have you lost your mind? it would just be a clinch fest and probably wouldnt even sell 50K PPVs....
Mosley by UD...
I wouldn't mind it...free HBO...maybe a doubleheader co-feature...
good call
still think Shane can beat Berto
but if that fight isn't happening, do this one
good fight if not on PPV
Yeah HBO should put on a fight between 2 guys who threw a combined 800 punches in their las fights. I'd rather they take the money to make JuanMa and Gamboa.
I guess, but Clottey lost all credibility by throwing the EVENT he should get no love.
Mosley didnt do that much better against Mayweather. He only threw 50 more punches.
