Chad Dawson Will Dominate For 7 years.

Reason being is that Chad Dawson's body attack is almost (if not) as punishing as Mike McCallum's. Chad's jab is one of his fine weapons he uses (him being a right handed southpaw, his jab has a little more snap to it) and he has a decent chin (Both of his knock downs from Harding and Tarver were flash KO's) The only person I can think of that has the tools and skills to beat Dawson is Ward (I think Dawson is going to move down since his division is dry), It will be a tough fight for Dawson but I think he can pull off the UD against Ward.

I'll say that the Johnson fight was a debatable fight. But he DID NOT struggle against Tarver, you're delusional on that one. Who at 175 can beat Dawson?...... NOBODY

I think timing and activity are very important to dawson at this time in his career. I think he needs to stop worrying about HBO dates and just stay active. Hes better than those guys. But if they catch him rusty he could lose. Inactivity could be his greatest opponent True, I would like him to be more active than he currently is. And that's a great point bringing up him being potentially rusty.

He could dominate the division the way it stands for a while, but there are some good fighters at SMW that will move up eventually. That and Chad bare scraped by an almost 40 year old Johnson, so dominate might be too strong a word. He should definitely rule the div for the next couple years though. It happens to everyone. Everyone has a fight where they stuggle a bit. And like I said before, the only person I can see from SMW that has the tools and skills to beat Dawson is Ward. But Dawson (imo) will UD Ward.

Hopefully he can fight more often so I can see him dominating. I've almost forgot how he fights. Bute-Dawson would be a interesting fight. Dawson-Bute and Dawson-Ward are the best possible fights for Dawson at the moment.

I like Chad but whether he doinates or not it wont mean much because 175 is so garbage. all he can do is clean house. if he runs 175 for 7 more years, i don't see how he wouldn't be a top 10 lhw. he could easily move up and grab some cruiserweight belts too.

I think he beats Pascal and Cloud, as well as the guys at 168. Looking forward to his future fights as I expect those two to bring the best out of him. Is his fight with Pascal 100% set? Seems to have been pushed back at least once in the past. I do not think it is 100% confirmed yet.

The Pascal scrap would be a bit more competitive because of his more natural athletic ability but Dawson's skill should win him most rounds while Cloud will get completely embarrassed and probably lose every round..........this is IF he gets past Johnson. Hasn't he already? EDIT: Wait are you talking about Cloud or Johnson.

I don't think Tarver knocked him down either. Regardless, he's the top guy at 175. He'll dominate for a long time if his chin holds up (it's solid but he can be hurt) I think Dirrell may give him problems if he moves up because he's just so fast but Dawson should be able to pull that one out. It's funny you bring Dirrell up because their boxing styles are quite similar. I think it'll be an interesting fight to watch but I think Dawson can pull out the UD once more.
