Edison Miranda had a tragic and crazy early life that would be interesting.
In the past I would want to direct a film on Stanley Ketchel's life. The Michigan Assassin boxed hard and partied hard. Knocked down the heavyweight champ. Not many reigning middleweight champs can say such a thing.
The casting is obviously really important.
I always think of Joe Louis being light skinned, but in almost all the movies he's portrayed as dark.

If you don't know about Ouma check it. This shit is life inspiring. No wonder he was as tough as he was, i can't believe how much the guy smiles after what life has done to him.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I was thinking about it yesterday when I watched the latest Rocky on FX. I would totally make it about Mayweather. It wouldn't be Floyd himself though, it would be someone with a different name who goes through a career just like Floyd.
I would do a film style like Any Given Sunday. Hell, I would probably get Jamie Fox to do the main role.
I thought about it and it would be pretty awesome, my vision of it. He does nothing but win and is still hated, I would even include a segment in the movie with the Brian Kenny argument. It would be awesome.
unless you can get lucas, spielberg, woo, the wachowski brothers and scorsese all working on that film loading it up with slow motions, explosions, guns, flashy cars, lasers, space ships, and maybe a couple of threesome scenes with megan fox, beyonce and jessica alba, no way in hell anyone would be able to stay awake beyond the opening credits.
Tapia would be a really interesting story, no doubt.
Of course all 3 on your list are excellent.

Nigel Benn
like some of the others mentioned, his life reads like movie script.
Classic troubled schoolkid who joins the British army, discovers he can really box, goes on to greatness, national rivalry with bad guy Eubank, career defining clash with McClellan and coming to terms with the outcome, becomes a top DJ...descent into wild hollywood parties, drugs and debauchery before retiring to the sun in Spain to become a born again Christian with his family.
and that's probably only scraping the surface
Id make a movie about Pac...it would be a hit because it would have violence, drugs, women and scandal....then the super hero (Floyd) would come in and save the day.:chairshot
I like that one. To me the greatest is Sonny LISTON. Great story of a lonely and sad man.
NIGHT TRAIN
Yeah. Sonny had to endure much and his ending was sad. It also sad that he wasn't more popular, only time the people was behind him was when he fought Ali.
