How many times we gotta go over this. Pac didn't carry up his KO power from the lower weight classes. Pac doesn't have one punch KO power. except for the hatton fight, all pac's stoppages have come from the accumulation of punches.
what most of his opponents don't get is that pac is super fast with southpaw angles, he throws punches in bunches, and he's relentless. they tell themselves they can handle the speed, but they can't.
Pac didn't carry up his power, it's just that he's too fast, too busy, and too relentless.
that's why crackhead sr. doesn't want his son to fight pac. that' s why he slandered pac to give his son an excuse to duck pac.
it happens rarely because there aren't that many powerful punchers out there
one punch ko power artist : Hearns, Arguello, Benn, Shavers, Frazier, Tyson,...
one punch ko power takes you out on your feet, and you can't beat the count
Plus what people fail to see especially with the Hatton KO is that yeah it was one punch but hatton had been down twice already
he was all fuked up
but like you said before Pac has carried his power with him very well and it is something that not everyone does
So now all of a sudden one punch ko power is different than ko power?
I never knew people were debating the effectiveness of one punch compared to multiple punches.
This is retarded.
Why do people go "Oh it was a TKO not a KO". How often do we see straight up, unconscious for the ten count-knockouts anymore? It happens VERY rarely.
There is no such thing as "power is an illusion" what does that even mean?
The angles thing gets overrated....sure he punches from weird angles, but so does Luis Collazo and Carlos Quintana....they're not hurting people in every fight.
You're right....Pac didn't bring one punch KO power up cause he never had any, who really does, I implore somebody to answer that....what he did bring up was the power he did have, which was plenty. In fact, he probably hits harder at 147.
Make your mind up, he either does or he doesnt.
exactly this same dude said pac would have koed floyd if that was him instead of mosley now pac only hurts people based on accumulation.
Make your mind up, he either does or he doesnt.
Always good to pick one line out of the whole entire post, then it makes you look really good when you take it out of context.

Really, some how I see different. His punches earns respect when they land, speed has a lot to do with it but just check out how he moves Clottey when he hits him on the gloves. He has power at WW
Wtf is this? How did he not carry his power up through the weights? He more than likely got more powerful now that he isn't walking twig and he can eat healthy everyday.
His power always came from accumulation of punches. So this topic is trying to make something out of nothing.
Good post PullCounter, it is true, Pacman has pop but he doesn't have true power. How many punches did it take against Cotto? 780 thrown, 336 landed seriously? Man that is not power. If it takes you 336 punches to TKO someone you don't have the extreme power. No one would be able to stand up to that many punches(276 were power punches). Sorry but Pacman is a 9mm it isn't the first shot that kills you ever.
So we should've penalized Pac for not running away from the sport for 2 years?
And yeah, Pac's not getting anyone out of there with a single punch, the Hatton one was extremely televised and wouldn't have landed hadn't he set it up with a fair number of clean shots beforehand.
Of course, TBF, Pac would be a small 140 lber these days. He's getting outweighed in the ring by 10 or more pounds at WW.
he deserves the award i never said he didn't.
but to continually brag on a award he won by default is funny.
if floyd hadn't retired,ducked an retired been a bit5h an ran away from the sport however you want to put it would he had really won?
it's funny how you keep bragging on a award pac won by default.

That is not true. At all.
Pacquiao very much carried his power up, in fact, has gotten more powerful.
Oscar has phenomenal chin, and while he was never knocked out or down, those punches were making him wilt. Cotto at welterweight can take a shot, he doesn't have a great chin but he's got an above average one, and Pac HURT him with one punch. Clottey refused to open up cause he felt Pac's power and did not wanna get knocked out.
I don't care what angles you punch from, when you're hurting guys consistently like Pac has, you are punching with some serious power.
oscar = tKO
cotto = tKO
clottey = decision
no one punch KO power there. they get hurt because of the speed, accumulation, and southpaw angles. Pac's power is an illusion, his opponents get hurt because they don't see the punches coming.
TS,is the same person that said pac would knock floyd out if he hit floyd the same as mosley did so obviously he thinks pac carried his power up in weight.
