I actually had difficulty predicting this fight, i reckon amir khan will win but i dont think its gonna be as easy as people think its gonna be
i think the first 6rounds will be close but after that i think khan will take up the later rounds and maybe even a stoppage
ive been watching khan since 05, malignaggi i dont know to much of but i think hes done well changing trainer and diaz fights looked decent
malignaggi cant punch and i dont think khan is as strong roach says
khan ud or late stoppage but im gonna go with a khan ud because paulie is a legit fighter
Saw the Hatton-Paulie and Diaz-Paulie fight again. To be honest, not that impressed with his Diaz wins (so called great comeback). Diaz was too short and small so Paulie could stay on the outside and use his speed. Diaz struggled to get on the inside and looked ordinary. Against Amir, Paulie will be fighting against a guy who has more speed and power than him. Staying on the outside won't work so well against Amir.
I can see Paulie doing the same thing......................moving around and using that left jab of his. He doesn't use the right hand that much, basically a one-handed fighter. Amir is gonna see that and jump on him.
Khan to win by maybe stoppage or UD
Thats how I see this fight.
I am hoping Paulie makes people eat their "pillow punch" talk.
Just like Diaz in MMA; You don't need to have power when you can pepper someone with great accuracy.
I would love to see Amir con loose, the guy in my opinion is getting too Big for his own boots, he needs to get KO'd again to bring him back to reality.... But we all know what the outcome of this fight will be! As much as i hate to say it Amir con by KO. I want to see Amir fight fighters like Maidana, Bradley & Devon Alexandra then i will give him the respect he deserves if he beats them!
hahaha couldn't help it..
Paulie has a beastly chin, let's not forget, so all the KO predictions for Khan (on the chin.. *hint**hint*) are most likely out of the window..
they're both boxers, Paulie is looking incredibly fast, but Khan has Roach who dissects his opponents so good, only second to Naazim, and no matter how experienced Paulie is, Khan's youth and Roach's brain should be able to win the fight by decision or KO to the body.
How will paulie be robbed if it goes to UD? the fight is in his hometown, right?
The hometown thing doesnt always mean he will get the benefit from the judges. Khan needs to win this fight and Paulie is not seen as a big thread to him. Bare in mind that Khan is the champion also, If he loses then he is practically done. Therefore if its a close fight I believe he will get the nod
It's gonna be interesting to see how Khan reacts to fighting on the big stage, against a home-town crowd, and against a guy who's tough as nails and determined as hell.
Will be interesting to see how he reacts cause I think khan has TERRIBLE ring IQ and generalship, I'm eager to see how he reacts when things get tough and things arent going his way over a long, hard fight.
At first when I heard about this fight I thought Khan would take a close decision possibly a split decision... But the more I think about it and after seeing both of them train I think Khan will win a wide decision and possibly stop Malignaggi... Khan is much much faster, bigger and stronger than Malignaggi.
I don't know about much faster but I think he has a slight edge. Power, definitely. However, I Paulie has the advantage when it comes to intangibles like experience and toughness. He's not afraid to make it a rough fight and that could potentially make Khan uncomfortable. Paulie's also going to have the hometown crowd and he seems really up for this fight.
So hard to call; they each bring things to the table to trouble each other but they both ave pros/cons that could really make it easy for them to win the fight.
Paulie tough as hell, experienced, pretty damn fast, is mentally strong, and seems to have a great desire and will coming into this fight (not to mention his overall will).
Khan has the speed, trainer, and general athleticism, but his chin blows (not a real issue against PM but he's looked good in his last couple of outings).
I know it's obvious but once we're into the 4th round I think we'll be able to see how it's gonna pan out - if Paulie makes Khan miss, copes with the speed, and make Khan work then he can get the decision. If he can't handle the speed and intensity then he'll fold quite decisively.
I know Khan gets a lot of shit for this fight (and this is coming from a guy that hates him!) but i'm pretty ****ing stoked for this fight!
Paulie is expected to lose. Saying that, he was also expected to lose to Diaz.
Id say Khan has a 60% chance. There will not be knockout. Cottos big ass couldnt do it, so I dont see Khan doing it either.
Gotta root for the underdog though.
im rootin 4 paulie but honestly i have no idea and its drivin me crazy
