How the fukk is Spinks still the champ anywyas? Im surprised he hasnt got stripped yet. It seems like he hasnt fought in a million years. I heard he was about to again though. I would like to see him fight someone like Margarito or something

About 95 percent of the people on this site have no clue about boxing so its only those remaining 5 percent that actually know all the aspects of boxing that I want to hear from on this matter. Seriously though I think Spinks is a clone of Mayweather except for the fact that Spinks HAS A QUESTIONABLE CHIN AND DOES NOT HAVE NEAR THE POWER THAT FLOYD HAS, I think they fight somewhat similiar. Both have very fast hands, both can punch from crazy angles, and both are defensive whiz's. What do all you home skillets think???? Well I can tell you what I know and it's this; Cory Spinks is not taking his career serious at this point and Mayweather kills him. Why might you ask, Well #1 his training quit on him due to cory not managing his weight properly and taking his career serious and #2 due to him dropping the ball on the Bundrage fight a few months ago. Honestly a trainer will have faith in you when you don't even have faith in yourself. They are the last to quit on a fighter and when they walk that is a huge sign on how committed a fighter is to the sport of boxing.

I would've agreed a few years ago, but his last couple of fights have been iffy. Especially with Deandre Latimore. He just seems so much slower. Prime Spinks was ill. The kid had excellent speed.

Spinks is more of a Sweet Pea type clone than a Mayweather clone. Back in the day this may have been a very legit because Spinks was prime & quick while Floyd was a small WW, let alone 154 pounder. Now Spinks is not prime, has stamina problems, a weak chin, and doesnt move the way he use to. However, even if Spinks were prime, he wouldnt give Floyd trouble. Floyd has grown into his WW frame now so I think he would just walk Spinks down and tag him all night

A few years ago, sure......not now. Spinks' legs are gone, as seen in the Latimore fight. And now that he's been off for over a year and balloons up in weight, not a chance, IMO.
