If shane threw straight punches like in training.. He could have won. straight right hand landed on the jaw.. then after that he throws wide punches i dont get it .anyhow
I think too that naz should have linked with shane much earlier in his career
Double jab straight right hand to the body or head type of fighter would give floyd a lot of trouble..
Double jab straight right hand? Where have I heard this before...

lol just using that as an example btw the jab landed on floyd
I was shocked at how much Floyd discouraged Shane from throwing. No one likes to get hit and Mayweather clearly gained Shanes respect with his punches.
got excuses?
Excuses? Would you move up to fight a fighter that was more well known considered better all around that could launch you into stardom and give you a 7 figure income? That is not a excuse that is a legitimate reason to move up, he fought what was at that time considered the better fighter and certainly the more rewarding fighter. Be honest with yourself who was considered the harder challenge at that point. He didn't duck out he took a what was considered a harder fight.

a younger and undefeated shane wanted no parts of floyd so put that to bed
Why are you saying that because he chased the bigger, stronger, and more financially rewarding De La Hoya? At that point I would say that DLH was the bigger challenge based on size and power. That DLH wasn't diminished, he was still strong and most definitely in his prime.
The punch that hurt Mayweather was a looping right hand. Looked almost hookish.
he got hit with 1 of those against mitchell, and corley.only ever punch ive seen him get hit with is a strait left

The fact is the a lot of great trainers have tried to strategize to beat Mayweather and no one can solve the puzzle. Mayweather is a boxing prodigy just like Pacman, thats why this fight shall be made

mosley's problem was that he wasn't throwing enough punches. also, when mosley back out or exited the pocket, he'd get caught. you gotta know how to get inside the pocket, then exit the pocket. everytime mosley moved away after being in the pocket, floyd would smack him with right hands.
PBF just adjusts very well. The shots that hurt PBF were over the shoulder punch to the chin that is how you know it wasn't a straight shot. PBF would have had a lot of trouble with a younger Shane but I could certainly see PBF beating him in his prime as well as Shane having a great shot at beating PBF, would have been a great fight at LW.
Again I'm just working on the tale of the tape, but i could be wrong. Regardless the straight is a shot he can get hit with, but whenever he's faced fighters that were very good with it(Mosley, Judah) he can adjust very quickly.
right.. and shane could win just being shane but he needed to keep floyd off balance.. throw some left hooks... double jabs to the head and body.. then throw the right..
not flick jab followed by right hand.. floyd knew it was coming after the second and kept his eye out for it.
I think Mayweather stood his ground and countered so effective that it made Mosley regret and fear any attemp at opening up on him. Mayweather's defense and offense were excellent in this fight.

Its all about inches, after floyd adjusted to the right distance to keep and how much he had to roll his right with his shoulder Shane couldnt find him no more with his right. So, he went to his old self, try to land a big winded punch that couldnt land all night.
in the tale of the tape i believe the reach advantage for Mayweather was 3 inches.
i think i saw a 1" advantage, but you're right. floyd had a reach advantage nonetheless.
Against Mayweather Mosley's straight were too slow and Mayweather had a better reach with crisper straights.
mays reach is shorter... but the throws from the chest.. whereas shane tends to wind up
