haters and nuthuggers have no boxing IQ, so instead of thinking they tend to come up with lame excuses, excuses that rarely makes sense. and then use it in any situation to hype or discredit a fighter.
for pactards and floyd haters the excuse of the month seems to be mosley being 38. ppl out of the blue started using age as if its the only thing thats relevant when discussing a fight or fighter, yesterday some pactard tried to reason how clottey was a better fighter than mosley and would destroy mosley based on the brilliant observation that "mosley is clotteys granpa".
so lets get a few things straight. fighters age diffrently, 38 is older for some fighters than others. hopkins was in his prime at 38, mosley isnt but hes still very game. acting like mosley is shot is bullshit, mosley has far more in him than cotto did when he fought pacquiao regardless of their age.
look at tyson, meldrick taylor snd jermain taylor, fighters done at a young age. then look at hopkins, glen johnson and SHANE MOSLEY all being world class fighters even though they got up there in age.
any dumbass can throw out a number, but someones age doesnt always reflect exactly where they are in their career or how much they have left. the way pactards are trying to discredit mosley is very similar to what they would call "flomo logic". using numbers that dont refect reality.
so stop bullshitting already, seriously.
Then how come you never see oldies in professional sports? Learn a thing or two about how the body works, you idiot. The body starts going downhill after your early 20's, some deteriorate faster than others, but everyone goes down.
i know ppl age, i didnt say they dont. i just said some age faster than others and the age doesnt always reflect where they are at in their careers. mosley is a young 38, so just dropping that number doesnt accurately reflect his ability. mosley at 38 has more left in the tank then cotto after the margarito fight.
What so Oscar wasn't shot to pieces when he fought Pacquiao?
yes, but mosley isnt. hes past his best, but still the best out there not named floyd mayweather.
Oscar was past his prime but Cotto and Clottey were in much better stages of their career than Mosley.
Gotta hand to Mayweather, he is one smart mother****er. He picks just the right opponents that he can dominate and show the world how "good" he is . Now, he is probably the best boxer out there, but it takes more than boxing to a beat a guy who will really bring it.
mosley has much more left than cotto. if they fought again mosley would destroy him within 6 rounds.
please.. a few months ago u was probably going on about how floyd is ducking mosley. floyd is looking for the best, he wanted manny but manny didnt want it back so he fought shane, who is acctually a harder fight than manny would be.
mosley did really bring it, but it wasnt enough. it doesnt take more than boxing to win, if u box well ofcourse.
Age is a factor. Fighters do not improve after their mid thirties, its nuts to suggest otherwise. Mayweather is at his peak now,but he will decline too in 3 years time or so,providing he is still boxing. Its a fact of life.
All the greatest athletes in every sport are usually the hardest, smartest workers. Mayweather compensates for his older age by working a lot harder than when he was younger. He even talked about it in an interview. When you grow older, you gotta up the intensity or you'll start lagging behind. Mayweather and Pacquiao are the only two who has the work ethic to do it, that's why they're on top of the world.

The body starts going downhill after your early 20's, some deteriorate faster than others, but everyone goes down. Age, punishment, wars you been in, fighting Mayweather's fight, lack of conditioning, and some reasons Shane lost. The only way someone gets "better" with old age is if they can adjust to a style that makes up for what they've lost with age.
I never though Shane had a chance. No one, that I've seen fight, can outbox Mayweather, but he is beatable. A great fight is when the odds are 5-4, 1-1, not 4-1. All the smart people knew what was going down last right. The fart was gonna get schooled.
