Why is taking blood bad 24 days b4 a fight?

I dont get this. Today Pacman said he will not fight Mayweather if he has to do a drug test 24 days before the fight, which is pretty much the same as before. I dont get this why is he refusing to give blood? They take 3 small tubes dont they? Its less than what you give to a blood donar. Does it hurt the body and make you weak or something? I tought giving blood doesnt do nothing to you and you can do it a day before a fight with no effects.

Answer to the OPs question: Because Pac's camp will think of any excuse to stay away from Floyd. They were hoping Floyd wouldn't accept the ridiculous 10 million dollar weight penalty.

We've seen him have blood taken in a previous fight on 24/7, and honestly he didn't really seem to have a problem with it. If you're afraid of needles and blood doing it 24 days before doesn't magically make that go away, you're either afraid of it or you aren't. Also, they take such a small amount, I don't see what the big deal is. I wouldn't want to give a pint a few days before a fight, but what they take is almost nothing.

You pretty much took the words out of my mouth. Manny has no excuse why he would want to have a 24 day cutoff. That's ridiculous. It's RANDOM.. You're not supposed to know when they're gonna show up. But it is going to be random 24 hours before the fight. Sounds like a fair compromise to me. Manny isn't Super Mario. He isn't going to take a Star from Bowser's castle and whoop ass 24 hours before the fight.
