True story.......if not....we better see and hear about ALL fighters that fight in the state of Nevada being tested this way...... :boxing:
Even though i would love it that way, no way its happening.....because NSAC wont pay for the test themselves which costs thousands of dollars, and i doubt upcoming fighters who make maybe $500 per fight will pay 3 grand for thier own drug test
they're "reviewing" drug testing policies based on the outcome of the olympic style testing in the mayweather-mosley fight.
Based on even the most hardcore flomos' admission that ost is too time and labor consuming and nowhere near cost efficient enough to ever be universal....the most likely outcome will be that the commission will keep it's rules the same but accomodate special requests such as for a fight of mayweather/pacquiao's magnitude. thus doing nothing but serving the state's own greedy self-interest.
This is true.....this testing cost thousands per fighter and will only most likely be used on only Manny vs Pac and almost nobody else. No way this type of testing can used on everybody, its just too inefficient
Actions speak louder than words. And what are floyd actions lately. Why are annalists , journalist , even underground rapper all saying the same shit to him. Because they see the humble guys earning their respect and pride by trying to prove something with actions while u have this pretty money loving whore , self proclaiming he is the best and he doesnt give anybody a chance to prove otherwise. I personally feel like i can relate more to mosley , cotto even marg. Pac , clottey , and all those guys who are still in love with what they do and compete at the highest level possible without bringing drama. Yes drama is entertaining but to what extent. He has turned boxing into a soap opera where u have this guy holding a monopoly by just denying other fighters of their right to fight for a top spot. Is not that mayweather is bigger than boxing , is the fact that media has taking his mouth and his persona and twisted things around to the point where u have this guy at the end of the long table controlling the sport because they created this picture in his head saying he is god.
If there was only newspapers today and no internet , less people would hate floyd , floyd would be a much cooler guy. And he would have prob fought better opposition. But because of things like ppv , the ring magazine , espn , so many critics passing criticism on athletes the wrong way he is scared of the picture ending.
Floyd will never be bigger than the sport , the sport was here long before me and him and it will be here long after him.
U have guys like lebron , a-rod , who could very easily be bigger than their respective sport , but because its a "team" sport , and the fact that matches are mandatory , you will always have a big champion at the end of the season.
The commission aint helpin floyd with shit. It's simply accomodating it's own self interest to get the mayweather/pacquiao fight done so nevada can rake in the millions of tax dollars.

What exactly is the commision doing?

no single fighter is bigger than the sport...........but those who think boxing will be better off without floyd are dreaming.......atm he and to a lesser extent pac are the only ones who are bringing this sport to the mainstream......that's why a fight btw both would be major........it would get attention from media that usually does not cover boxing.
your right bro
but mayweather is bigger than boxing, he brought it back to the big lights, now the commission is helping him out to better the sport! Nuff said
This has got to be a bait thread. Nobody can really be this stupid.
No, he's not. And don't lie, his initial intentions for blood testing wasn't to keep "the sport" clean.
The fact that the biggest fight of our generation fell apart due to blood testing made the commission take a look at their own procedures so that nothing like this would happen again.
And also, so that Nevada can get the fight.

Well put except the lesser extent part.....we all know both he and Pac are pretty much equally holding up the sport
