People scoring it for Kessler 8-4/9-3 are on crack.
Froch could have knocked Kessler down three times in the 11th and 12th and still only got a draw on Tilleman's card or soemthing LOL.
What'd you think?
i gave it 2 rounds to froch, at best level to kessler on being more busy.
I would liked froch to be more busy, and control the ring better, but at the end of the day its irrelevant, 117-111 shows that unless froch killed kessler, he was going to lose anyway...
I don't even really want to argue much about this fight though. It just bothers me that there's some Kessler fans that won't even entertain the thought that Froch won.
To me, it was quite clear that he did. My opinion. Just as valid as yours. And to further validate, I have no vested interest in either fighter. So who's more likely to be objective?
i agree mate you are spot on...
It was a great fight, I thought kessler edhed it, by a couple of rounds. The corwd defo was a factor, e.g, when kessler threw a 3/4 punch combo n it didnt land, the corwd cheered thought each punch ahd landed. The only problem I had is the judges score of 117-111, he must have filled that scorecard in beofre the fight started
I had it a draw, but I have no problem with Kessler winning. Shandy will probably claim a Froch victory, but hey, it's not like it's too much of a long shot, a few did have Froch winning.

neither do I but it was a clear win for kessler, pretty close but clear. Not to sound condescending because scoring is of course subjective, but why did you think froch outboxed him. His jab was good but many of them were not scoring just lazy and pushed, and quite a few hit kessler's gloves into his face which shouldn't be scored either, it was mostly effective at keeping kessler off balance and stopping him from setting up his attacks. Froch was also outworked and fought too much in spurts, which leads me to my next point, I believe you have overlooked kessler's body work which a lot of fans often do but was the main reason why froch couldn't push forward constantly and meant that at most times kessler was controlling the ring (ring generalship). I think froch was doing more damage but you cannot score exclusively on damage. The better quality and quantity came from kessler. The best punch in the fight was landed by kessler the right hand in the 8th round was perfectly timed and the only time either fighter had their legs buckled by a single shot.
Both guys showed a lot of heart but I was especially impressed by kessler, his workrate and fighting with a nasty cut at the end of the fight couldn't have been easy but he looked like he wanted it more in the championship rounds. Froch was right in saying that the home advantage for kessler made the difference...but not in the way he meant it, it made a difference because I think the crowd gave kessler that little bit extra he needed to get through the fight where maybe in nottingham or somewhere else he may have sucumbed.
I'm interested how people scored the 11th and 12th. IMO Froch landed the cleaner punches while Kessler was throwing more, but also missing more, and didn't land the big shots Froch did.
I gave both those rounds to Froch.
Exactly, your opinion. I happen to think it's wrong, but that's the way it is.
You started to sound like Slimshandy. That your opinion was the objective truth.

im not a fan of either.... actually quite neutral... and kessler won it pretty decisively IMO
BBC had Kessler up, so what 'press row' is that?

Get out of here with that shit. I score fights as I see them.
Press row had Froch winning, as did many others.
I also thought Froch lost to Dirrell, so don't try and call me a fanboy. I don't think Froch is great at all, but he was good enough to beat Kessler.
So do I. And I had Kessler winning.
So what.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
That was fun.
He did. I was completely suprised that Froch was the better boxer. But it was quite clear to me when watching.
Kessler fought bravely and did very well for himself. It was a close fight. But Froch should've gotten the decision.
