Gotta be all the PED's, nobody gets better as they age right?
Wrong, alot of boxers get better as they age, even 50 years ago some did, prime examples would be Jersey Joe Walcott and Archie Moore.
Half of those guys would be retired if boxing had a lot of young stars like the NBA the you look at boxing right now Mayweather 33 Mosley 38 headlining the biggest fight in boxing this year when Mosley Mayweather Pacquiao retire somebody has to replace them not sure who
B-Hop will move up to p4p #1 at 50 years of age.

I definitely see a shift, even Mayweather is 33 now and Calzaghe retired looking great at 36.
Tua has got to be getting on too and he's a top heavyweight. It's only a good thing for the sport that boxers are lasting longer.
Alot of fighters are now not hitting there prime until there late 30's look at segio martinez
It's not that. It's the politics of boxing. If we had more tournaments it wouldn't be so. Some of those kids only become famous after they are out of their primes, in their 30's. Some spend too much time padding records and other BS.
Modern medicine, modern gear, modern training and dieting and low rate of fights is expanding the careers of many boxers. Would these same fighter be still fighting at 40+ 50 years ago? I really doubt it.
