I think that is pretty relevant. A lot of guys who commit acts of senseless violence tend to have had some serious head injury. It is a common trait among serial killers also.
Not only did he have the bike accident, but the guy is a ****ing boxer. A lot of boxers are abusive in their personal life and I don't doubt it has something to do with boxing and possibly it's effects on your brain.
Anyway, I feel sorry for him and especially his family.
RIP Valero
def drugs and alcohol take about 15 years of your life away thus if he didnt die from suicide he could have had lung cancer because 85% of ppl with lung cancer r from smoking
That brain injury he had in the past had absolutely nothing to do with what happened. Valero was a freight train on his way to getting derailed, he was living on the edge lately and a lot of shit was going around his life. He should of never left Japan.
Naw, homie was downright psychotic, even my wife told me that when we saw the DeMarco fight together, she said he looked demented.
I agree with the bold, the guy was on the edge and was a wild guy living reckless. Still though, people underestimate what brain damage can do to you. The motor accident was serious, and even a guy with a record like his still gets hit.
I'm not trying to make excuses for him, but like siggy and 2501 are saying, there is a big correlation towards violence, impulse control, and brain damage.
It's a tragedy for everyone, Valero too.
what happen when you punched your pops? did he swing back? also what was it over?
I had him hurt real bad, he couldn't do shit. Then he tried to stab me, couldn't touch me, i was too damn fast. Then i got out and came back one week after.
Why does Valero still have fans? ****ing idiot kids on this website. :pat:
Being a fan of a guy who beats his wife, mother, sister, is as retarded as being a fan of a boxer who molests children.
None of us can truly understand what was going on in this man's head. It is a heinous and shameful act but if you think about it look at how most fighters who have styles similar to his end up in life. Gatti, Valero, Riddick Bowe all took unrivaled head shots and all have had serious domestic dispute including Bowe kidnapping his wife and 4 kids at one point. For some stupid ass reason I feel a little bad for Valero b/c he seemed like a Caveman in a sense that he just wasn't fit for any society you put him in (Tokyo, Texas, Venezuela, Cuba, or Mexico.). His wife was 20 years old and they had some children that didn't look like infants, how old was she when they got married? I'm not making excuses for Edwin Valero it just seems that his life was a fraud. There are 2 many questions and not enough answers. In a car this dude was a crash test dummie the same way as he was in the ring. I knew something was odd with him the moment he got that gapping head wound on his head and he seemed not at all affected by it. I know Gatti was blood and guts but man it seemed like you could almost see his damn skull. Because of boxing this man couldn't receive the proper treatment he needed just like Mike Tyson could not take his medication when he was training b/c of the drug test policy (has anyone seen Mike Tyson lately not only his he calm but he's gained 50 pounds and looks happy)
ya'll need to read up on the correlation b/t frontal lobe injuries and its effect on impulse control.
then you need to read up on the effects of drug abuse on people with pre-existing mental disorders (valero suffered from depression) as well as its effect on people who have suffered brain damage/neurological disorders.
its a vicious cycle since people who have certain mental disorders, such as depression or manic episodes, and people who have suffered brain damage are even MORE prone to addiction....which in turn reduces inhibitions and impulse control even more, almost to the point of psychosis.
combine all that with a guy who's had traumatic experiences, which could be the case with valero (dunno enough about his back story) and you get a man who was destined to do some crazy sht.
valero had all the prerequisites needed to become a mad man.
This is all true.
same with chris benoit "Benoit's brain was so severely damaged it resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient."
I heard Chris benoit's brain was bad but I didn't know it was that bad!!!

You guys hating Valero are faggots.
The dude apparently had enough brain damage to always get his US license application rejected.
It is very possible that he had brain trauma that caused him to act extremely hostile for petty reasons. Hell they even put a similar case on TV, go watch House. That one actor who got in a motorcycle accident(he was on VH1 rehab show before), he has a similar problem.
No one knows for sure what his problem was but it sucks that he died and I feel sorry for his wife as well. I am mind boggled as to what even caused him to act this way, fuck. He was such a great talent too. :nonono:
I can neither blame him, nor dismiss the fact he is a murderer.
It is what it is, she should have left him ages ago if he was a wife beater-troublemaker and he should have had help.

exactly, something was seriously wrong with Valero. One reason could be because of his head trauma. This is a legitimate hypothesis as there are hundreds of studies in this field.
I'm not saying its an excuse or that what he did was not wrong, but brain trauma can be a contributing factor to this tragedy.

You must have had some serious problems man if you ever intended to hit a woman. :nonono:.
I agree completely and my sister is a real bitch sometimes, I just walk the **** away. I accidentally hurt my sister before when I walked away and closed a door behind me not knowing she was there(seriously). And she started crying and I felt real bad. My dad started yelling at me cuz he heard her crying but I think she told him that I did it by accident which was the truth, I didn't know she was behind me.
I just walk away when I have problems with people, I don't kill them like a psycho-path does.
Where was this brain trauma that caused him to know never step to the murders that ran throughout his country... and Im sure he rubbed shoulders with. He knew his limits for what he wanted. Attacked the weak when not in the ring.
I'm sad for his wife first but for him too. I don't judge him cause it could happen to me too. Especially with the shit family i have; i already punched my father and i almost hit my sister several times. When you have horrible relatives that shit can happen.
I don't know him or his family so i won't judge anybody. Only God knows the truth. May they both R.I.P and condolences to their families.
