ok why the **** does this guy try to act like the great one? its clear to everyone he has tried to develop his character like him. being cocky, arrogant and all that
THE ****ING DIFFERENCE IS ALI FOUGHT THE BEST WHILE FLOYD DUCKED THE BEST. the man was so humiliating on 24.7 that I felt embarrassed for my ****ing laptop and had to fast forward.
Ali gained the respect of people who followed him for fighting the best no matter what, thats why people loved him.
exactly, floyd isn't funny.... he just comes off as bitter, cruel and callous.
This. It's also painfully obvious that even Floyd doesn't believe half the garbage that comes out of his mouth. If it sells fight, fine, but then don't come back crying that everyone hates you or "don't know the real Floyd." Who's fault is that, Floyd?
Look before that tho, from 140-to 147. man has not earned the right to chat shit, thats why nobody accepts him. Ali earned that right by spanking everyones ass eventually.
If mayweather went for boxers in their prime and well top boxers in general people would not mind the trash talking
hasn't earned?... Who the f*ck are you to say what Floyd hasn't earned... An Olympic medalist, a five division champion, two lineal, he's beaten five top 10 p4p ranked fighters, and reigned as the #1 p4p for 10 years... but you; a random as f*get on a computer thinks he hasn't earned the right to "talk trash"... Get the f*ck outta here you internet cowards make me sick
I really don't give a shit. He hasn't lost, so he can talk as much shit as he wants as far as I'm concerned. He's fighting Mosley now. It's not like he's fighting a bum.
Mayweather's trash talk and other comments is actually pretty tame compared to some of the things Ali said. Calling Joe Frazier an ugly Uncle Tom gorilla, calling Joe Louis & Jackie Robinson Uncle Toms, saying Muslims who marry outside of their religion should be killed.
The main difference is that Mayweather lacks the charisma that Ali had. Ali could be funny, while Mayweather usually isn't funny IMO. Floyd Jr got the bulk of the boxing talent in that family, but the comedic talents went to his father and uncle.

Ali was a mature trash-taker and you could see as he got older and established veteran status, his trash talking was more epic. His trash talk grew with his age.
With Floyd it feels like no matter how much older he gets, that boy-ish, teenage-esque loutmouthing stays although he has his entertaining moments in between.
Like the whole steroid taunting he did on 24/7, I.E. All natural, no steroids during a workout. That was a subliminal punch at Pacquiao...the whole segment with the USADA people, more fun stuff with the steroid/HGH taunts.
He was fanning the flames, as the expression goes, in those exmaples above in a entertaining fashion imo. It wasn't annoying. And I don't even like reading countless articles about the whole steroid thing, but hearing him taunt Mosley and Pac, and I was amused.
Dunno if I have confused you before with someone else but you're making a lot of sense and good posts :p
I did notice the scene outside where he had 20 people around him or whatever. He said soemthing and repaeated it a few times. Reminded me of Ali :)
Not a bad thing, not original but copying Ali is never a bad thing in most cases
Trash talk makes things more interesting. If Floyed acted like a gent all the time I would never watch any of his fights. I watch them so someone can shut him up. Two boxers being nice and polite to each other? no one is as into that.
I don't think Mayweather's trash talk is all that bad. Find it funny sometimes. He just gets alot of flack because it's interpreted as wanting to be like Ali and he will never approach the admiration (and hate) that people feel or felt for Ali. Ali is just in another stratosphere as far as fame.
Trying to be like Ali? Many people trash talk and in different ways, Mayweather is way more crass with his trash talk then Ali... so there is no comparison, unless you are just saying "They both trash talk"
So what. It was a tune up. It was what it was no one on here is hyping that one bro.
Now hes fighting Shane Mosley.

I already said earlier, I think trash talk is fine if you back it up by whooping the asses of TOP boxers....floyd doesnt do that.
for godsake man he fought a light weight in his last fight
