You crybabies can't have it both ways, if this win over Jones doesn't mean anything then what the hell does Calzaghe's win mean, when Calzaghe was knocked down in the fight?
I guess this proves that Jones would have KTFO Calzaghe in his prime.

Calzaghe fans give him respect for the win over Hopkins as Hopkins was still dangerous, almost none think that the Jones win was a big deal. Most couldnt see the point in him taking the fight in the first place. Jones has been shot for along time now.
Hopkins and Jones were 43 and 40 years old when Calzaghe fought them.
Neither one of those wins mean anything.
Hopkins was light heavweight champion and in the top 5 p4p. So it wasnt exactly the same as Jones.
I think Jones has been less and less willing to let his hands go also. He would have one last night by just throwing punches.
That should tell you something about how awful Hopkins was last night. If Roy throws 10 more punches per round and lands 3 or 4, that fight is amazingly closer. But Roy hasn't done that for a long time.
It didn't mean anything for Calzaghe either. Both Calzaghe and Hopkins fought a shot Roy Jones that doesn't have his legs and can't pull the trigger.
exactly .
calzaghe and hopkins really are like different colours of the same board
alot of people were going on how they had very similar resumes(which they do, both weak as shit)
and no they both have a shot to shit roy jones
No one considers Calzaghes win over Jones to mean anything, but at least Jones was on a winning streak at the time, not coming off a 50 second ko.
This .................
Only Calzaghe haters list Jones as one of his two best wins.
Calzaghe wasn't in his prime when he fought Jones. Far past it infact.
yea ok. he was far more in his prime than jones or hopkins are so stop hating. And yet he still couldn't even beat Hopkins? Both prime Hops and Jones dominate Calzaghe
Jones wasn't the same when he came back down in weight. He looked like a ghost. Add his knockout loss and how he looked after...he was SHOT to hell for both of them.
They fought a shell.
For the First Tarver fight, as I was watching it, I had two things running through my mind: A Ghost...and somebody through wet-cement on Jones.
Not until I ended up seeing what happened to Byrd did I really just think...****...when are these fighters going to learn.
Tarver has the only legit win over Jones just because it hadnt been done before. It was obvious from the first Tarver fight Jones was no longer Superman tho. Calzaghe and Hopkins both get beat prime for prime vs Roy Jones.
