I know its getting harder to remember the jones of the 90's with each fight he takes now, but do not think this is even half of what the great RJJ was .I know most of you know this but I see a few younger guys that just don't know.
He would have beat bernard with ease if bernard would have took the rematch back in 02.I dont think there has ever been a fighter that would have beaten that jones, I just wish he could have got more meaningful fights while he was prime.
McCallum was 40 when Jones fought him.
Hopkins was kinda green.
I think Toney and Virgil Hill were the best names on his resume.
His resume is pretty good, not spectacular.
It definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but its also far from full of bums.

yea you can pretty much tell even from the small flashes of greatness he showed in the fight.
Bernard did basically the same thing he did in the first fight only Jones is shot.
Right. I mean people say Roy fought no one great. Dude... None of these guys in the super six would even be recognized today if Roy was still Prime. They ould line up, and be embarrassed, and forgotten. Roys greatness is his only weakness to his resume. He made peple look like bums.

LOL
tito was a ww who fought hop at mw
oscar was a ww who fought hop at mw
wright was a jm who fought hop at lh
pavlik was a mw who fought hop at lh
i think his best win is tarver, and even he moved down two weight classes
There is not one light heavyweight ever that I would have picked over jones in his prime.
Right. He sure won a lot of fantasy fights. Even more at 168.
Apart from Toney and a green Hopkins, who just might be HOF'ers, who are the HOF'ers and ATG's you are talking about?
Hopkins is an ATG and Toney is first ballot HOF. McCallum, Griffin, Hill are all very good fighters. Add Reggie Johnson, Tarver and Ruiz. I mean seriously do I need to tell you which fighters were good fighters? You know. Julio Gonzales went on to beat Glen Johnson and Darius Michelaskiowski after Roy embarrassed him.
Toney was the only prime fighter of those. With the possible exception of the great pazman of course.
i love how you never have any arguement, you can never answer any questions, you just hate because your a bitter ole' cunt, have a goo day mate
there wasnt a whole lot more roy could have done at the time.
I don't know about that. What I do know is that there's a bunch of deserving fighters Jones did not fight.
is hopkins not great? he did not lose for how many years after roy beat him with one good hand. Iknow you dont think toney is great but at the time when roy beat him I considered him great, He was a top pfp fighter when roy beat him.
Are you telling me that Hopkins was prime?
toney and hopkins and mccallum were the only greats in jones era(around the weight classes), and he fought them
you should name these garbagemen, midgets and cabdrivers now nelson
