Solis employs the same gameplan that Ruiz was attempting today, only Solis does it so much BETTER.
Haye has a lazy guard on the inside. Solis would drop him bad.
Arguments?
The guy has some psychological advantage over Haye because of their AM bout but he's been too heavy since though his power is still scary. If Haye boxes, he could win imo.
Yes he is fat as hell and looks like he ate the dude that whipped Haye in the AMs. But he still has very fast hands, is able to block shots and has pretty good pop when he sits on his punches. Plus he's got a pretty good chin.
I think he should fight about 4 or 5 more fights before getting a title shot, but he's not going to be an easy fight for anyone, even now.
He's a fight away from Vitali. Solis fights Ray Austin and will KO him then is WBC mandatory......SOLIS=SAM PETER, dude is power puncher and overweight as hell. I mean ridiculous overweight, he shouldn't come in above 230.
Yup. People are actiing like the ts from Mars with his comments, but his facts are pretty solid.
I laughed when the fat Solis beat the stuffing out of the buff Drummond.
I think it would be an excellent fight one Solis would be a definite live dog in.
The guy has been boxing since he was a little kid.
If it was a bodybuilding contest yeah, he'd have no chance. LOL.

I think you are doing quite well in this thread.
And the fact that Solis just beat Drummond at a career high weight, the same Drummond that Chagaev had troubles with, it's an interesting assessment.
Solis is fat as hell, but you sure can't tell the way he has perfromed.
I think perhaps people are thinking you are just a Haye hater, when you are pretty much laying down facts.
Thank you!! This was my first thread, and I already got 3 red k for it.
Just trying to be objective and bring up points people haven't mentioned yet.
I'm not a Haye-hater. I thought he did well against Valuev, truthfully.
But his performance today did not impress me much.

Solis sure got Barrett out of there a hell of a lot faster than Haye did.
People on here concentrate too much on what a fighter looks like.
Would it help Solis to lose 30 or 40 pounds? Absolutely.
Is he garbage at the weight he is? Absolutely not.
Solis may someday do it but his best opponent to date is Carl Drummond! When ever a fighter looks good you should always consider the opposition. Right now I would bet big on Haye and not til after Solis steps up in competition would I consider this possible.
I agree, Solis has a great chance to destroy Haye again. Haye has a good puncher chance cause i just don't think Solis can take punishiment like Ruiz.
Would be interesting.
But being realistic it won't ever happen if Haye don't beat both Klitchkos, and hell Haye will have lots of trouble against both brother's, he would be like a 1/4 or 1/3 underdog in both fights.
Sumarizing. 1/8 chances of seeing Solis vs Haye in 2013 or 2014 :puppy_dog
Yo man I get what your sayin! Due to Odlanier's performances he would beat David. All I'm sayin is Odlanier isn't performing like that against top heavies, I mean for me to win this argument look at how Odlanier fought Welliver...Haye fought Valuev kind've like that only difference is Valuev was a title holder and had 49-1 record. Odlanier is gonna get owned by Vitali after Odlanier KO's Ray Austin to be WBC mandatory. Solis won't be KO'd by Vitali....maybe by Haye cuz Solis don't have the movement to keep up.
Alright, I'm curious. Aside from Vit/Vlad and Haye, who do you think is the best HW right now?
The Haye haters are the same people who said he'd be KOd by the first punch he took in the heavies, wouldn't carry his CW power into the division, would gas against any opponent who took him beyond six, would be mown down by Valuev etc. etc.
For every failed prediction there comes another excuse.
WAR HAYE! :boxing:
Alright, alright, no need to make it personal.
I'm just saying, no boxer is invincible (Mayweather) and one of Haye's rivals at HW (Solis) might beat him due to style matchups and recent performances.
You don't agree with my opinions, it's cool. Let's leave it at that.

I think your special with these opinions you have. Speacial Needs.

Haye would not win a UD against him if he fights the same way he did Ruiz today.
C'mon are you seriously impressed with Haye's performance today?? Do you really think it was anything special??

Man listen to me for a sec. Solis is a slow power punchin Cuban wit no lateral movement and little head movement. He doesn't have good stamina, but it hasn't been tested, but I mean dude comes in at 260-270 WHICH IS RIDICULOUS BRO!! Haye would wear him down and into the later rounds and probably win a decision. Whatever though, it ain't gonna happen cuz Solis is fightin WBC eliminator and is on way to fightin Vitali and losin a wide wide wide UD.

Headgear doesn't protect you from uppercuts to the chin.

Also, that uppercut was shit, didn't even drop him. Solis was out the way before the ref could get in to give him the 8count. Fluke punch, his best of the fight, after which Solis systematically took him apart.
But that's aside the point. Haye isn't as quick now as he was in the AMs, and he looked sloppy as shit today.
Solis would walk him down.
And to all the people here saying it's a joke that Hamed could beat mayweather at 126 in both their primes. I'll just say this, if Judah, a southpaw, could drop him (He DID drop him), then Hamed definitely has a chance.
After seeing this .my observations are these. Solis never had good footwork and yet he was lighter. Now he fights flat footed and is actually less explosive. He does still carry some speed to be so horribly overweight.
His chin seemed to be rocked very easily and he had head gear. he is fighting more carefull now and is controling fights better. It looks like his conditioning has made his fighting style a more difficult one. Not better , but he is fighting a more technical fight. I say if he was still in that shape and would fight the way he fights now he had it easily , but his horrible shape actually gives Haye a better and bigger chance.
