- For you to say that you definitely know the motivation behind the opinions of over 300 Million people, no, no you can't.
Answer this, name 1 fighter from a Former Soviet country that the vast majority of Americans love, especially at HW? Most Americans still have a Cold War, Rocky 4 mindset.
Read your first sentence, then the next.
You are speaking for the 300 million? I think it's quite obvious that you don't live in the US, because you have no idea what you're talking about. America is a fast paced country. We barely remember 9/11, you think we're stuck on the cold war? Most people on this site weren't around for that, so for you to assume a Rocky 4 mindset just shows that you have no idea about anything that goes on in this country.
Name an exciting heavyweight out of Russia.
And for the record, I loved Ivan Drago. I wish he was real, I'd be a huge fan.
If some good fighters came out of Russia, we would like them, but the fact is, we got the snooze brothers and nobody is ever going to give a shit about them over here, or any other fighters as boring.
Vitali was becoming a serious U.S. star but his injuries, the STUPID decision to put the Williams fight on PPV, and a four year layoff, killed his momentum.
For a Minority of Americans i could agree but i do think the vast majority to this very day still call him "bitchko" or "quitchko" due to the Byrd fight (even though he needed surgery to repair his torn rotator cuff) and alot don't respect his heart shown in the Lennox fight. Most of the comments on here are that an old shitty Lewis ripped his face off and how Vitali is a complete fraud robot.
Americans have always been attracted to the flashy fighter. It took Hopkins nearly a decade as champion to get the recognition he rightfully deserved from the American public because he wasn't flashy. Thus why is it so surprising to Euro's that American's don't care to watch Wlad whose style can literally make the hardcore boxing enthusiast fall asleep...
There is no hate or lack of respect for the Klits, what the American boxing fan hates and disrespect is the current state of HW boxing. The division is a complete and utter joke thus nobody pays any attention to it. The fact the Klits are boring fighters doesn't help them.
I dont even see how people can compare clinching, cheating, head butting, holding boring UD Hopkins to the Klitschkos clean KOs. People wont realize how great they are untill they are gone.

- I'v seen the Pacquiao, Gatti, etc are foreign fighters that are loved by Americans statement before. Answer this, name 1 fighter from a Former Soviet country that the vast majority of Americans love, especially at HW? Most Americans still have a Cold War, Rocky 4 mindset.
I'm not telling you or anybody to like Klitschko or be a fan. I would though at least respect a person who flat out said, i don't like them and their Ethnicity is one of the reasons, if that is how they felt. It's obvious that some people on here think that but are too much of a vagina to say it.

So to sum it all up...
Current HW + boring = nobody cares
I'm black and I got alot of respect for the Klitschkos. I'm a huge fan of Vitali and I'm on/off with Wlad, but he's growing on me. I get tired of reading or hearing people take shots at them. These are great champions man, what the hell do y'all want from them?
Seriously, this is some sort of racist cheerleading session.
I'm a white European-American (I'm Slovene) and I can definitely say the reasons the K brothers are nobodies to the general public in America has NOTHING to do with their nationality/race.
Pacman, De La Hoya, Tyson, Gatti. These are all names the public knows, not because the ethnic group each fighter belongs to strictly supports them, but because they were our favorite fighters to watch. Sorry to inform you but white and black people like to watch Pacquiao and De La Hoya too!
Tyson is definitely the biggest name in boxing in America in the last 30 years. Did you guys know only 14% of America is black?

I'm a fan of Vitali (Wlad is too boring IMO) and I understand what TS is saying, however, IMO they aren't appreciated because of their style (They're big man version of Mayweather) and the lack of great oppositon. People like to see champions challenged and pushed to their limits, not dominating mediocre opposition.
honestly, question to every black person out here..
is there any black person on these forums that are klitschko fans.????
Skill has no color and I'm a fan of both of them but I lean toward Vitali more if you ask me

Yes, I'm a fan of the K Bros...
true that soljah bwuoy.
Vitali is one of my favorites and majority of his wins are KOs who doenst like that, and people put them down because the DIVISION is weak but it isnt their fault so I give full credit to both for what they did
The TS seems to believe that they don't get the respect they're due because they're not American.
I posted my opinion and somebody asked me if I were black.
Now that I posted my ethnicity, I doubt he'll even respond, because the only argument they can have is racism.

They might not KO early every fight but go and check how many men have actually seen the final bell against the Klitschkos.
Infact I will tell you...
Out of their 93 wins only 5 men have seen the distance:boxing:
not to mention both of Vitalis loses came from injury

I don't 'believe' shit I just posted a good article, I'm not necessarily making any statements especially not ones with racist overtones like you're implying
the point is that the klitschkos are relevant enough to have an article backing them up in a top rated news site. if you're too butthurt to accept that then go find another thread to troll.
:nana: I'm a fan of em lol and it takes more then name calling on the internet to get to me lol I've been to Iraq twice I've seen worse then being called a troll lmao
Not all Americans having anything against them so whats the point of this thread again?:dunno:
