Omar Henry VS Shawn Porter

People need to forget about Omar Henry. He hasn't fought on a consistent basis. For a young fighter, he's barely fought at all. I'd like to see Porter take on James Kirkland or even someone like Delvin Rodrgiuez.

Since this thread was created, I've seen Porter improve quite a bit, much more than Henry. Shawn Porter showed me much more snap on his punches, better footwork, and jab tonight. Omar Henry can't box well at this stage and is hesitant when he throws in combination; not fluent at all. He's got power, but he's really only shown that he can find the target on a sitting ducks. And his footwork is lacking. He has no one on his resume, and hasn't been very active. Although, Porter had a year lay-off as well.

It would be a great fight.

I havent seen how his stamina is,but man Omar has got it all,the way he puts his punches together is just devastating,id say he looks more impressive then Cotto did when he first turned pro,hes fast as **** and punches too hard,he just needs to keep his head straight and nobody can **** with him in the future

Omar is nothing short of a ****ing beast,at this point,Shawns bouncing style would be his downfall against a killer like Henry

Porter because he used to post on BoxingScene lmao! yea thats probably the same and real reason why any votes went to Shawn! Shawn needs to watch his mouth AND BE MORE HUMBLE before calling fighters out especially saying "he would knock Omar Henry out in the 1st round they fought" :haha::haha:

Dunno... I haven't seen Shawn fight. I've seen a couple of Henrys fights and he looked like a monster. Savage dude. Henry is what cotto started off as. Chains more punches together tho

Damn lotsa hate going on for Shawn. Lets see, Shawn looks average against someone who has more professional experience than both Shawn and Omar combined, had a 6" height andvantage and was an awkward southpaw. Omar looked great over someone who's only had 6 fights, all in Mexico and now he's the next ATG?!? Voting is over but I give Shawn the edge in this fight out of what I've seen out of both guys.

henry's in an entirely different league as a prospect. this fight doesnt even need to be discussed right now though. i doubt porter and his people want a set back this early in his career. give it a couple of yrs. i think henry will probably move onto bigger and better targets.

Omar KO's him. This fight would be better saved for a later time if they become popular it would be a big fight. Porter, even though he has more fights, looks much more amateur than Henry.
