Rematches. Which are the ones we don't really need?

No he is not doing it for money because likely he won't see much. He dosen't get anything before Hopkins get's three million. He is doing it because he still want's to be Superman and because he still thinks he can beat Bernard. That's what i believe. His ego won't let him retire. What will it take, though? 3 devastating knockouts and he's still thinks he's got it. It's really sad.

Roy Jones Jr is one of my fave fighters ever and I think this fight will hurt his legacy. You know he is doing this for money because I don't think he thinks that he can actually beat Bernard at this point of their careers. He is just trying to cash in and 'Nard will oblige because this is the one fight that he has been craving for, for a long time. No he is not doing it for money because likely he won't see much. I have a feeling Marquez wins a slugfest. Hopefully they end the rivalry and acknowledge that their dead even. Well, Rafa looked better of the 2 in their "comeback/tuneup" fights and I also have a feeling that Marquez will take this one. 2 - 2. How could you end a rivalry at 2-2, though. I'm sure Izzy would want a fifth and final fight. I think they should just cancel the 4th fight and leave it at that. I'd hate to see anyone of these two get hurt.

Before the Mayweather-Marquez fight, people were going on and on about a third Pacquiao-Marquez match. EVERYBODY wanted to see that. Me...I just couldn't understand it. I mean, if they had fought a third time and Marquez won. Then what? The score would be 1-1-1. They would automatically have to fight again to settle the score. Now that Mayweather beat Marquez, everybody has suddenly become uninterested in the fight...

I'm actually scared for Vasquez and Marquez's health. Currently, neither are the same, who knows what one more war could do to them. Hopkins Jones makes me sick, get rid of these dinosaurs already. Darchinyan has earned his rematch with Donaire as much as anyone has earned a rematch in the history of boxing. Like the guy or not he fights tough competition every fight, and always goes for the big knockout. Hes a cocky little shit, but I give the dude props cuz he brings it. I'm actually more scared for Jones Jr because of the bad blood between him and Nard. Nard might really want to put a hurting on Jones as his last hurrah. I would understand if Darch was winning the first fight and then Donaire caught him with a lucky punch. Donaire dominated the fight and knocked Vic out silly and I have a feeling that it's going to be the same result. Nobody is asking for a Pac/Hatton rematch so why Vic/Donaire. I think Donaire is too big for that division and needs to move up.

On the posts, it's Vazquez vs Marquez II, but on the poll it's clearly RJJ vs Hopkins II. I feel the same way. That's a garbage fight like the 3rd Duran/Leonard fight or Leonard/Hearns 2. It's way past overdue.

Vazquez vs Marquez IV

I didn't even want this fourth fight, I've always thought that they should keep facing off against new competition to build their legacy instead of just fighting each other and only been remembered for that. These guys are two great warriors and should be remembered for more than their fights against each other. So no I would not even want to see a 5th fight even if Marquez wins. But I'm sure their promoters are going to convince them to have that one last big payday. I'm sure Gary Shaw will.

Vasquez-Marquez IV. those guys already gave us their all 3 times. they don't need to give us another. i mean, i'll be happy to watch but they don't really have anything to prove. we already know they're both warriors.

I'd love to see Donaire knock him out again, I hate Darchinyan. For sure, but they make it seem that Donaire needs to fight Vic again just to prove it ain't a fluke. I'd rather see Donaire against Hasegawa, Montiel or an Perez.

None of those rematches are necessary. But I'm watching when they air of course. So if you had to pick which one you can't watch, what will it be?

I honestly don't see a problem with Darchinyan-Donaire II. Darchinyan is #1 right now and he earned a rematch, while Donaire hasn't done crap and really needs to prove himself against top level opposition. Darchinyan happens to be top level opposition, whether Donaire beat him before or not. They both have something to prove. I'm not crazy about Jones-Hopkins, but its better than Vasquez-Marquez IV. They already had a rubber match, and I can see them seriously damaging eachother if they fight again. They probably know eachother from head to toe at this point. This is the best opportunity for Jones to prove he's still got it without getting too hurt, and I suppose Hopkins believes this will avenge his only true defeat. But he needs to man up and face Dawson...seriously.
