cotto is definitely pretter than him.:luvbed:

but seriously.. why he use that as his nick?it doesn't seems like boxer's nickname.
Came from his amatuer days, he could stand and trade, and walk away without a mark on him because of his defensive skills. Then he changed his moniker to "Money" because he had a lot, then he blew it all, and he needs money. It is also good that he changed his moniker from "Prettyboy" because that Mayweather ugly is starting to sneak up on him, a few more years and he will look like dear old dad.
much better than money....as a floyd fan i detest the "money" mayweather moniker.....i much prefer pretty boy......he also fought better when he was the pretty boy.......
Co Sign, He became money during the DLH fight and officially was introduced as Money during the Ricky Hatton fight.
His Olympic teammates called him that because he didn't get hit much. Pretty Boy Floyd was the name of a gangster in the 1920s.
It's a better nickname than "Money".

the only gays take gay joke seriously, it so sad that you are taking jokes too seriously.
Weren't you the guy that made the thread about "Who is the most Handsome Boxer?"
A little theme you have going on don't you think? :flirt:
I love you:luvbed:
pretty boy floyd was a notorious ganster back in the 1920's I think. Also most of the kids that gave floyd that nickname didn't know that, rather just called him that because it's a famous line off the popular rap song called "The message".
The line goes "you walking around like you are Pretty Boy Floyd"
But the guy who wrote that rap song got it off of the banker robber with the same moniker. If you listen to the song, he is talking about a guy who drops outta school, does dirt and starts to floss "like pretty boy Floyd". Any rap heads know that the message was one of the most famous rap songs....leading to Floyd getting his nickname.
Just some FYI because I know most boxing fans...better yet Floyd fans, dont even know that.

LOL really? did he use pink gloves? the gloves colored pink???
He used it for the Baldomir fight. I heard it was for Breast Cancer month, but he was actually a few days late. The fight was in November.
It's catchy and has a nice ring to it. I think Floyd got the nickname from the old famous bank robber Charles Arthur. There was also a billiards player with that name. I hated the name "Money" at first, but it's growing on me and it fits Floyd well nowadays.
Only gay guys calls themselves pretty, what can you say about a boxer that uses pink gloves, and being carried to ring by a bunch of guys.:haha:
