The last time he fought at home was years ago. Not even remotely on the same level he is now. If he fought a decent name and they had it at Ford field for reasonable prices he could get 25,000-30,000 people. i think you can consider vegas mayweather's transplanted home town. hes been based out of there for just about his entire career. he still hasnt been able to build a fan base there

People in texas love boxing. Mayweather could do 50,000 also. People just don't want to believe it because they don't like Mayweather. Look there are two superstars in boxing not just one. no cuz he doesnt have a traveling fanbase...or much of a fanbase at all. 6 months of promotion for the marquez fight, on mexican independence day weekend and they still came up about 3000 short.
