There were plenty of rounds where he did work in and looked fine in at time, but lost all of them due to getting outworked bad. I read what you said. I think you fell into the trap where Clottey was throwing so little that whenever he did actually come out of his hole to throw a single straight right it grabbed all your attention. Be real sam. I was rooting for Pacquiao, but there were many rounds that were close until the final minute where Pacquiao would let lose and throw barages, hence putting them in the bag. Clottey was to afraid to come out his shell however when he did catch Pacquiao a few times. Clottey could have done alot better if he believed in himself more however Pacquiao's workrate was keeping Clottey at bay which is what he needed to do. I defiantly learnt alot about Pacquiao in this fight and i think Floyd has a better chance than i was giving him. Pacquiao is their to be exploited imo he has flaws.

When you throw almost 1300 punches, you're going to get hit some. Pacquiao did a great job of getting himself out of the way and putting him in the position to not get hit most of the time. The time he got hit was where he wouldn't move and try to break more into Clottey's guard. He got hit flush a couple times, but really he dominated Clottey. Also, I'm not sure why everyone is saying "Clottey could have done better!" Margarito threw around the same number of punches against him and Clottey had the same output I think. I don't have compubox numbers on me, but pretty sure it was around the same. One last thing, I think there is a better case for Pacquiao being rated #1 at WW then Mosley now. The Ring has Pacquiao ahead of Mosley and I kind of agreed with that before, but now I think he is a bit more. Still close though and I wouldn't argue having Mosley at one either. The reason they didn't put him against many boxers is that Pacquiao is too easy to hit despite the improvements. He's fast yes but he gets hit allot too. That has to impact his long term career. If Floyd and Pacquiao don't fight soon, we will see a mismatch as Floyd will absolutely dismantle Pacquiao... Boxing years advance when you are hit in the head. Floyd's a spring chicken compared to Pacquiao.

I am not going to judge, I am going to have to watch it the replays on tv just to see how it seemed. Being there, it was not like how some of you're describing. clottey took the fight on short term, and was without his trainer, and had been off for almost a year now. winky fights more offensively out of his shell and he tried throwing vs paul in the first round but stopped because he was getting caught. clottey throws when you're finished but Pacquiao has great stamina he never stopped. Warp for some reason, pac cant move out of the way of the right hand. Clottey landed it almost at will. Clottey also had some success with the uppercut inside. Pacs defense is improved, but its not like he was out there shoulder rollin and duckin and being slick. Clottey...shockingly, actually landed the more eye opening shots. But overall, i am just glad i didint waste my money, the fight was actually worse than i expected and thats all on Clottey who basically didint even come to win.

Anyone with a brain could tell you Pac's defense was great that night. Most of the time when he did get hit it was because he was basically begging Clottey to try to fight. Just standing there in front of him. If Pac wanted he could of moved side to side all night and not get hit once. The problem is when he dominates, people want to go out of their way to find things he did wrong in the fight. Those are what we call haters.
