Pacquiao finally beat a black

It's not that fighter are magically better because their black. It's just that Pac. hasn't fought a mobile, slick boxer. Had Spadafora been at lightweight when Pac. was, Pac. would have preferred David Diaz probably.

Why bring race into this. People said Pacquiao never beat a SLICK African American type style fighter (a la a Mayweather, Hopkins, Whitaker type), which I see as being ridiculous. However, I doubt Pacquiao beats Mayweather. what he said....

Its not about him being black. Its about being a slick fighter. Which Clottey is not. He stood there in one spot and let Pac punch him. Hes black but far from slick. Agreed, Clottey is not slick, neither is Marg, Cintron, PW, etc. How many fighters currently in the 140 to 147 range would you say are slick fighters right now? Mayweather, obviously. Paq has a slick offence, still needs to work on defence. Cotto can look slick if another fighter stands in front of him. Berto, not as slick as he has the potential to be. Mosley tends to stand and trade, not really knocking him, he is good at it. At 140 you have Devon Alexander as a slick fighter, Bradley is slick on offence, but like Paq, needs work on defense. There are just very few fighters percentage wise in boxing as a whole that are really "slick"

There are 4 African American fighters that Pac can fight Mosely, PW, Bradley, or PBF. I dont think he is going to fight a 6 feet 3 man who has an 82 inch reach, he was offered to fight mosley at 140 but Roach refused, we know what happened with PBF, and Bradley is showtime property and not easy making a deal. That is the problem with making those fights happen. Cory Spinks is a slick fighter at 154 but that is way too boring and the public wont accept it. The closest to a slick fighter he fought was Agapitho Sanchez who fought to a draw and was black dominican. It was a foul fest with many headbutts and cuts that went to early scorecard.
