If you think Manny changes or does something new with every opponent,then why didn't he do anything different tonight? Boxing is based off of effective aggression-If Manny couldn't hurt a guy who stands in one place,has little speed,rarely throws a punch,etc ...then I don't see how he is going to cause Floyd much harm or be effective. The bottom line-Clottey lets fights get away with his inactivity and his "defense"-Mayweather uses his defense to set up offense.

The only chance Pacquiao has is to swing the same time Floyd does but lets face it, Floyd doesn't go on the offensive. Floyd will put Pacquiao in a position where he can't throw at the same time as Floyd. That is where Floyd will counter and then not get hit at all. In the words of Nazim Richardson. He would have been countered, elbowed, and clinched up most of the night. If Clottey ripped back Pacquiao's head with only those few punches. Mayweather would have done hell of alot worse. Based on right now. Mayweather beats Pacquiao by Split Decision.

I have got to respectfully disagree with you.Clottey's defense was good-nothing special,but Floyd has better defense and counters out of it as well.Clottey showed me he has no will,no brains and no skill. Ironically,Clottey had success when he opened up (which was rare) and delivered uppercuts and left hands,the problem was he didn't follow through or open up enough...like he was content just dragging out the fight. sounds like a certain fake retiree.

floyd leaves his left hand low and uses the shoulder roll which is wide open for a straight left as we saw against judah and corley. his only defense will be if he's out of range will make him look like a runner and he will lose a wide decision if he does that. if he tries to fight manny with his gloves up well we just saw that fight. but manny is not as good as corley or judah he's just a bum.
