Look at this dude. Pac is a WW.
Yeah. Pacquiao is a great fighter but I don't understand why people need to bring up that he isn't a welterweight. Is it to blow up his already great career? Who knows. Yeah he can probably make 140 but not less. He is a 140-147 pound fighter now.
So now you are measuring a fighters size by frequency of fights at a certain weight regardless of size?
Yet in your eyes PWill is a WW even though he has had over a dozen MW fights and his last couple have been at 160, so I think I will thank you for playing young lad.
I said hes a JMW.
Not a WW.
Suppose he did....and its not out of the realm of possibility alright forget that even what if he beats Yuri Foreman while weighing somewhere in the upper 140's for a 154lb fight does that make him a JMW?
Floyd beat DLH, is he a JMW now? If so why is he picking on smaller guys at 147?:lol1:
Beating bigger fighters than you does NOT automatically make you bigger.
By the end of this year.
How many 154 fights will Floyd had total?
How many WW fights would Pac have had total?
How many WW fights have Floyd had so far?
Thx for playing.

That's a good one.
Floyd at 150 for 154 fight

He's ripped! Floyd is a natural 154 lber.
Pac could make 140 easily, but at 135 he'd be drained much like I believe Floyd would be drained at 140, they are both proper welter's or at least small-mid sized welter's in my opinion as they make WW with ease nice and naturally. I think we are seeing Pac visibly fill out a bit like we have seen Mayweather do in his fight with JMM.
Mosley and Clottey are real BIIIG WWs, these guys make the limit and on fight night are damn near MWs.
So I guess if he beat Pavlik even while weighing somewhere in the upper 140's that would make him a MW too?
IDK what you are trying to prove with this thread Burner other than maybe downplay Pac's accomplishments and make it not look so bad when he beats natural WWs unlike himself even though with a struggle he could probably make LW.
Do you have him beating Pavlik in the upper 140's?
Pacquiao is probably a natural lightweight at this point in his life.
He started as a strawweight, and fought a long time at flyweight, bantamweight and featherweight.
He's a little guy, definitely NOT a natural welterweight.
He never fought at bantamweight.
If he did, that would give legitimacy to Burner's post saying he ducked Veeraphol Sahaprom and Tim Austin.
True Welterweight!
Don't be ridiculous, he has never even got close to the limit and just weighs one of two pound over come fight night. Let's also not forget his last fight was at a catch weight, what true Welterweight will be fighting at a catch weight.
A fighter true to their weight in any division will be one that is capable to fight any fighter of that division. Manny won't fight Mosley unless there is a catch weight, I doubt he would have got in with Margarito and definitely wont step any where near a ring with P.Williams in it.
Manny for me is a natural 140 pounder, though even when he fought Hatton he was two pound under limit, all be it thats near a year now.
If there were as bigger draws at 140 then there are at 147 I can guarantee you that he won't be campaigning as a Welterweight.
With the right setup of roids he'll soon be a heavyweight cleaning the division. I bet Pactards getting wet panties when they think about this.
Thanks for your wonderful contribution to the forums.

So why did Pac want to fight Marquez third fight at 145 Pounds?
Since he can make 140 and 135 easily?
lol.
Let me think....because Marquez would likely have a harder time carrying the weight than Pacquiao? More of advantage again for him.
Pac appears like he can make 140, but he is a welter in my eyes. His best weight for me is 135 or 140 on the extra power, but still pretty fast. At 145 he looks slightly slower but more accurate
If Timothy Bradley looked like that at MW and fought effectively at MW, then yeah, I'd say he's a MW. Pac may be an even smaller welter than Floyd, but since he's now weighting in increasingly heavier, I would doubt he could make 140 as easy as some people think. Most likely, he would fight a JWW at a catchweight of 144/145.
Sorry, but I just couldn't get past that part.
Pac makes 140 EASILY, don't kid yourself.
If that picture makes Pac a WW, what does this one make Timothy Bradley? A MW?

lol Pac has never made 147 lbs limit and never really came close to it and all of a sudden he's a natural welterweight?
The Dawson and Williams example is wrong, Dawson makes 175 limit every fight and goes up to 183 lbs fight night and Williams has fought as high as 157 lbs so 154 is pretty easy for him to make too.
Pac is still a JWW/big lightweight.
