When R.A. The Rugged Man tore into Floyd Mayweather Jr on radio last October it sent shock waves through the boxing world (Listen here Pt.1 &2).
As well as a rap legend (when speaking of him, the Notorious B.I.G said ‘ I thought I was the greatest’), R.A is also an avid boxing fan. He really knows his stuff from both modern day and eras past. From the interview it was easy to see that he tells it like it is and isn’t afraid to really dig in as he put Floyd in his place, asking him the questions many would have been scared to and put forward opinions many would be scared to express. When I told friends and acquaintances that I would be interviewing him, many if not most told me to congratulate him for how he handled Floyd.
When the radio session had finished and he had grilled Mayweather, making him sound infantile, the Rugged Man had won a whole new legion of boxing fans to go along with those that love his music.
So I sat down with him on Sunday 28th February, before the final show of his European tour, to discuss Floyd, Manny and everything boxing.

I never lost respect for R.A. even when he came at floyd hella rough, he's always been a very talented cat in my book..
and he knows what the hell he's talking about, madd respect
btw has anybody on here heard his song with Jedi Mind Tricks? its called "Uncommon Valor" that SHAT is deep...and R.A.'s verse was ON POINT
This guy is clearly a fan of boxing. He's probably paid and been to more fights than 95% of the people on here.
He is no expert though.
I'd read his posts if he was on here. Definitely
Dope interview...
Only people that I've seen hate on him are the Mayweather minions on here (or at least the crazy ones). Nobody outside this site is shitting on RA like that. Even Paul Williams and several other fighters were giving him praise for his Mayweather lashing on Shade 45.
Dude is very knowledgeable of the sport.
