New R.A The Rugged Man Interview

When R.A. The Rugged Man tore into Floyd Mayweather Jr on radio last October it sent shock waves through the boxing world (Listen here Pt.1 &2). As well as a rap legend (when speaking of him, the Notorious B.I.G said ‘ I thought I was the greatest’), R.A is also an avid boxing fan. He really knows his stuff from both modern day and eras past. From the interview it was easy to see that he tells it like it is and isn’t afraid to really dig in as he put Floyd in his place, asking him the questions many would have been scared to and put forward opinions many would be scared to express. When I told friends and acquaintances that I would be interviewing him, many if not most told me to congratulate him for how he handled Floyd. When the radio session had finished and he had grilled Mayweather, making him sound infantile, the Rugged Man had won a whole new legion of boxing fans to go along with those that love his music.
