What do you think?
I personally won't be shelling out the money for this fight, so I'm guessing a lot of fans will do the same. I don't see this fight selling a million.
Who the **** cares about PPV numbers. I thought people watch boxing to see a good fight. List the top 10 highest PPVs and tell me which one came even remotely close to being FOTY? Most of those fights ain't even worth watching a second time
we all care... it's bragging right for our fav fighters.
It also gauge how healthy this sports is.

People are forgetting that Pac is a STAR now. People will watch just because of him....It will do better than people are thinking and Clottey will be more competitive than people think.
That's what Im saying!!
That doesn't do it for me though. Although the fight may be some what competitive due to Clotteys size and chin, we all know who will win. Big time PPVs should always have a main event that matches two great fighters in a bout that you can see going either way. Clottey has 0% chance against Pac and on top of that the only way he can even remotely make it interesting is by fighting a peek a boo style fight. So in other words, a typical, boring Clottey fight. If he lets his hands go it will be a landslide.
Did you check Tyson's opponents? He sold a million PPVs against a C Fighter. Clottey was at least a B+ fighter that never been KOed.
It will hit a million. Floyd fighting a small guy and it hit a Million. Although Mexicans contribute for the most.
Pac's Got the Mexicans, he already beat all Mexicans, as Most Mex said, He's a Now a Mexican too. Although Clottey is no Mexicans, The Mex wants to see Pac Crack this Granite chin of this african guy. Coz it's an Honor for them too coz the only guy Who Beat Pac recently was a Mexican too.
Pac's PPV buys is increasing, He's now the Cash Cow. Clottey might not be popular but This fight has more Cross appeal than Pac's Previous fight. This one has the NFL link, it means the Mainstream crossover. First ever fight in this Grandious Cowboy Arena who recently was featured during the NBA All star game which sets a new attendance record.
The Flomos thrash talking accusation helps too, although negative it's still publicity. We have also the MTV cribs, ABDC appearance, Jimmy Kimmel guesting which will pull a lot of new PPv buyers. ohh remember Pac's Recent PPV shows which average in Million buys, How many you think will be repeat customers??? I'm sure those buyers got their Money's worth... they will buy again. You can't say the same with the Floyd fights.
I find that hard to believe since Marquez never had a big ppv event.
I'm not a Floyd fan but
2.4 vs De La Hoya
1.5 vs Hatton (including UK ppv)
1.0 vs Marquez
Floyd ppv average is 1.6 mil ppv.

Mexicans, Americans, Filipinos, Ghanians, etc will support this ppv. It will reach 1.5 million ppv buys, trust me. The US president is even watching this fight.
It'll make half that at the most. You need two draws to even reach a million. Pac is popular, he's not Mike Tyson.
How many Ghanians in the US are going to order this fight? A few thousand maybe.
I'll pay for it...I think it will be a war. I'll stream May-Mosley because of Floyd's non-PPV worthy style and overly excessive pricetag.
Pac-Clottey likely won't crack a mill but will probably come close...800-950K buys I'm guessing

You think that Clottey will get 110,000 units sold from Ghana like Cotto did??
The Boriquas wants to see this. If Pac KO Clottey before the 12th rd. It's a Win already for the Ricans. I don't think the ricans hate Pac. I know they love boxing and they know Clottey is no bum
I'm a huge fan of the sport and buy all the PPVs but I am choosing not to buy the fight. As of late, the sport has changed and only put huge fights on PPV but this fight to me does not warrant a PPV tag in my eyes. I'll be the first to admit that I am no fan of Pacquaio but I have bought almost all his ppvs(except Solis) but most of his fights are against exciting, top fighters. Clottey to me is the reason I will not purchase the card, he is good but he doesn't do anything great, very bland. Also, when the main event isn't must see to me, the undercard is also a big factor and this undercard gets two thumbs down for me.
The selling point of the fight is that Clottey has never been close of being KAYOED. Seeing the first courtesy of the most exciting fighter today will be a Treat. The Amazing Show always sell.

Im thinking it will do around 800-850k.
Which is a damn good number.
As stated in my first post...."I'm a huge Cotto fan", but 800-850k ppv buys? You're smoking crack! :crackhead
I think it will be around the 600-700k buy mark. I am going to but just cause I a huge fight fan and I really want to see this fight. I also want to see how the Cowboys Stadium handles big fights, if it does well then maybe they will have more there.
anyone boxing fan who will not buy this fight dont really buy PPV .... can a boxing fan that regularly buys PPV say that he wont buy this fight who feutures the #1 p4p of the sport?
in the casual fans, its understandable...
