in that fight .. i really become a fan of roy..
because if he wanted too.. he could have went for the kill and even hurt badly trindad and he didnt do it.....
much respect for jones.. for not hurting tito! :p
I agree 100 %
jones JRs best win in years and trinidad was a blown up welterweight  .... im glad calzaghe embarrased him ...
jones was shot to bits by the time he fought and he still knocked joe on his backside,a prime roy jones would have stopped calazage under 10 rounds
I hated the fight. Those are two all time favorites of mine, and I thought it was a bad matchup for so many reasons. It's the only fight ever that I actually was pulling for someone to beat RJJ. **** that fight in fact!
I actually really enjoyed this fight. It was just great seeing Roy on top for the last time.
if they would have let trinidad sr wrap his sons hands the way he wanted with tape on the skin to make his punches harder he could have had a chance.
If low blows were legal too. He would have won like he did against Vargas.
I liked that fight. It was entertaining. Roy practically hit Trinidad at will with the right hand lead. Trinidad put in a good effort but he could do nothing to hurt Roy and Roy just walked him down.

Offcourse,very watchable fight.
Tito did good for the first 2 rounds but then Roy started to actually fight. The speed and size difference were immediately noticeabale.
Roy really put on a good show that night.

that....
or having capetillo on his corner!! :fing02:
I watched a RJJ fight but it was with James Toney (since he is popping up everywhere). It was a decent fight but you could see there was a huge speed difference in favor of Jones.
I believe it was Atlas that commented that Jones makes some tactical errors but his speed and reflections allow him to get away with it but these days he can't get away with it.
i was actually impressed how many body shots roy took from tito without even wincing once.....that fool was ripped....tito put a game effort and i feel roy never went in there to knock him out he knew without taking any major risks he would cruise to a points win....
