Can someone explain to me this myth that Marquez was Fat vs Mayweather. I mean how does a guy go from 135 to 142 and gets fat in the process? I whole 7 pounds!!! I'm sure most real boxing fans have a copy of this fight and unless your blind or just a biased Pactard, I dont see a "Fat" Marquez. I see a guy that is shorter than Mayweather but still very strong, stout, durable, and solidly built. 142 didn't make Marquez fat or slow, he has always been slower than Floyd, he has always been shorter than Floyd, he has always had a shorter reach than Floyd.
So basically stop making excuses by insulting Marquez, calling him fat, old, slow, etc...Floyd has had 40 fights has he not outsped every opponent regardless of their age and conditioning? Was Chico old fat and slow? Was Zab old fat and slow? Was Hatton, Old fat and slow? Was Castillo Old Fat and Slow?
My guess is that Marquez would of done a lot better vs Pacquiao at 142 on that night than he would vs Mayweather at any weight.

marquez aint ever been fat  who ever said that must be on summit....
Pacquiao started his Career at 106.Marquez started at 126 and Floyd started at 130.Floyd is slower at 146 then at 130.Marquez is slower at 142 then at 126.So its fare if you ask me and Floyd should be given credit for beating Marquez.
If its ok for Floyd to fight Pacquiao its ok for Floyd to fight Marquez cause Pacquaio started at a lower weight class then Marquez. The only reason Pac kept his speed and also got faster moving up cause of the Power of PED`s.:boxing:
Damn, would have been better if you stayed silent than expose yourself as another idiot with that logic.
What's 'fare' anyway?
Max Kellerman, Jim Lampley, and Manny Steward said a lot of sh-t about Jmm and Floyd during that fight. Not once did any of them say that Marquez was fat, you'd think they'd notice that.
You know you cats will state everything but the obvious and focus on a lie. Here's some truth, Marquez is shorter than Floyd, Marquez has a shorter reach, Marquez is less athletic than Floyd, Marquez certainly doesn't throw his punches as fast as Floyd, Marquez is not as skilled as Floyd.....all these are facts but what we get here is Floyd beat a FAT Marquez. I think the "FAT" comment is meant to insult the 2 fighters, Floyd in particular, and thats not necessary now is it?
Yeah i might agree with you on mis-using the word fat on jmm but you can't deny the fact that he was bloated that time just to make weight but still floyd manage to cheat.
I felt robbed with that fight as i was expecting floyd to at least ktfo marquez with all the advantages he had but what a rip-off.
No sense explaining to a flomo. You don't understand logic, you don't understand match, you're blinded by hate and idolatry to floyd's dick and you don't even understand what you were writing.

Mayweather was/is above Marquez skill level and not a final verdict of how well he would do vs an average welterweight. Lets see what JMM does next, I'm sure whatever it is its at 140+
Evidence? and did you use Hatton, would, and destroy in the same sentence
The sad thing about you asking evidence is that it entirely contradicts your belief of pac being on roids considering your sig and your post here in NSB oozing with hate on pac.
So don't ask for evidence, since you based all your accusation with no evidence at all. Stop masquerading as if you're fair in your post.
I guess some of Floyd's fans and Floyd himself are very much in tune with each other, and that is they're good at contradicting themselves.
Well people, would u call him a prime Marquez!!Or would u even try assuming that the Marquez that went 12 with Floyd would have also gone 12 with say,a Mosley or a Cotto??Or maybe in ya'lls blind & utter defense of Floyd pipe out that Marquez could have become a champion at welterweight at all??
fight? Did I not write, and I quote "in that pic"
And here's the deal, I can care less who looked stronger. Floyd looked like the better all around fighter period. JMM's weight wasn't an issue to me it was just his fighting style, strategy, inability to land a punch. Weight or who looks stronger doesn't determine who wins or loses.
Hold on....you can care less? So, what you mean is that you actually care quite a lot about this subject and it's possible that you can care less about it?
Or are you just stupid and can't even understand the meaning of the words that you write?
Anyway, you brought up Duran for moving up in weight. You know he was fat in nearly all his WW fights, and he was fat in every single fight after WW from 154 to 175.
Marquez was also not in his best fighting shape. He wasn't fat, compared to some Fat Yank at Burger King, but he was not in optimum fighting shape and had too many extra pounds on his body and he looked out of shape compared to the rest of his career. Not hard to figure out.
Evidence? and did you use Hatton, would, and destroy in the same sentence
evidence? haven't you see how he fight against floyd? floyd was just toying him because he's too slow in that division and one more thing floyd just smile at his punches.
that version of marquez will be destroyed by hatton at 140. too slow and no power.

Okay, great, lot of excuses, now go tell your guy to fight a fighter on the up and up, not the down and out.
Who is there that is at welterweight that is up and up that is better than clottey, shane, floyd.
Er the JMM fight put Floyd in top 2 P4P? Is that deserving?
Who put the 2nd Barrera fight as anything?
Hatton got ko;d by Pac at 140 where he had never lost. Also it was a brutal beating. No one expected that and quite a few still felt Hatton had a good chance after Paulie which was his best performance in a while.
Cotto had a touh fight with Clottey, but won. He had 1 eye from early on. Pac was still untested vs a very good fighter in Cotto.
Heard of a rematch clause? Well there was one with Morales... which Morales chose to do.
Oscar chose the fight and weight. End of story. Pac beat him badly, only Hopkins ever hurt him that badly. If Oscar didn;t pussy out, he would have gotten ko'd.
Anyway ignore my statement about fat content. If you watch fights, most boxers are at 10% and that goes for most athletes. I go gym and know this. It is also on the itnernet. Boxers are slightly different ebcause they have an unhealthy weigh in most of the time. That's when 5% is what they reach.
There's a formula to measure fat % too.
Okay, great, lot of excuses, now go tell your guy to fight a fighter on the up and up, not the down and out.
Now please go somewhere and die and at least learn about the sport in general rather than just Floyd Mayweather Jr and his opponents.
in boxing it's called fat. Realistically, he was outside of his weight class. He looked heavy on his feet and un proper. Surprised you needed that explained.
Mayweather still would have beat Marquez at 130 however, it would have been more competative i'm sure, but A win for May weather no doubt. Marquez is a good featherweight, with a style that gave trouble to the great Pacquiao.
Much like Castillo was a good lightweight that gave trouble to a great Mayweather.
Why? Look who your talking to..
A floyd dickrider..
OK M.I.C, I am going to sleep.
It's 12.15 am and I have a 10 mile run at 6 AM.
I need sleep and I know I am right.
Rarely does a none pro boxer under heavyweight come in fat at all. Fat in boxing is not going to look huge.
In motor racing they deal with grammes and pay thousands to get carbon fibre to save on weight. It doesn't sound much but to be the best, every damn thing count. Million are spent on wind tunnels and developement etc...
In boxing VS a P4P king, being over your best weight by a few pounds is a hell of a lot. If 7 pounds doesn;t mean much, then **** junior welter weights and get them all to fight at 147.
I even notice if I am at my peak weight, I do perform better at running and sports. If I am over weight by 5kg which is about 10 pounds at a guess, I feel it.
No one needs a disadvantage when facing someone of Floyd's level. He's a million times better than lightweight "king" juan diaz lol. He became the prince after Nate campbell btw.
