A shall we say, interesting list, clearly compiled by someone with not much boxing knowledge. theres some good info on the fighters though. :boxing:
Since he has jersey Joe and Ezzard Charles in the top ten I can understand him having Rocky that high. I just don't agree. I also think Frazier is to high as he probably shouldn't even be in the top 10. Also having Holyfield there is laughable.
Most obvious omission is Jack Johnson IMO.
its more a biography of marcianos life, not a list.
he wrote a little text under the picture of ezzard charles, where he explains why he thinks charles deserves to be a top 10 heavyweight, and there he is only talking about how great marciano knocked him out, and forgetting the other 110+ fights in charles pro career.
if u let him, he would put any1 marciano faced in his top 10 heavyweights list.
whatever, every1 is biased, i can understand him.
its not even close as delusional as pactards claiming their hero is top 5atg, so i let him have his fun with lists.
muhammad ali will stay the best hw in my list, until someone comes and does it better.
have you see any of Louis's fights???? have you seen his footwork??? Ali vs Louis would be another Clay vs Liston
Or the first 12 rounds of Louis-Conn I.
ATG Heavyweight lists shouldn't be compiled according to what people would happen H2H though (or RJ would be #1 on every lists).
It should be a mixture of accomplishments, who they beat, how they beat them, and a minor part of H2H. Ali should still be consensus #1. The man stopped 3 top 20 heavyweights and had 2 good reigns during the golden era of heavyweight.
Muhammad ALi > Joe Louis
that is one of those discussions that will go on for ages my friend.
I think that Joe Louis would've put it on 'em, Ali would've been tough on Louis, it would be close, but he would get him eventually.
it's an ok list i guess.. it's just how u see it. Rocky Marciano is high up on my list, but Joe Louis is definitely no. 1, for the other fighters, not bad choices i would say, right?

Before one rates "Jersey" Joe Walcott, they should know what he looks like.
